Does just replacing func in the JammyPup32 build with the new func from your .pet work?

That's correct, it's just /usr/local/pequalizer/func that needs changing

Re: Vol up, Vol down & Mute buttons don't work in Fossapup64

To get them working, you'll first need to know what are the keycodes for those buttons. On terminal, run xev. Every time you press a key, you will get an output in terminal of a few lines. For instance, I pressed F1 (while that white box is showing), and got KeyPress event, serial 36, synthetic NO, ...

Re: Vanilla Dpup 10 - beta

Thanks for your kind input dimkr And if you only take zdrv from 9.5, this won't do anything, because the kernel is different and can't use the old drivers. I had used the kernel I use with fossa (5.4.249) with the accompanying zdrv But dwl wouldn't launch. On further inspection, it seems that the st...

You should be setting the shortcut in JWM --> JWM hotkeys instead

Nope, this is incorrect. root and spot are configured to use the same PulseAudio instance, the one running as spot. For example, if you change the volume in pavucontrol running as either root or spot, this change affects audio playing applications running as either user. Oh right, good to know for ...

gychang Haven't tried a puppy with pulseaudio yet, so not sure if the same applies, but assuming it works like pequalizer for the traditional alsa-based puppies: if you are running an equalizer as spot, you would also need to run the application generating the sound stream as spot (ie, the browser,...

Indeed @dimkr. Just attempted my quarterly kernel update today for bionicpup64, from your biweekly kernel-kit at github, and the recent build (4.19.275) no longer boots (fails to create an empty aufs stack). 4.19.264 works fine.

Re: How to get kernel from Ubuntu 21.10 for Bionicpup64 8.0?

Do you happen to have a backup of your xorg.conf from before you installed getnvidia? Also, which driver is currently being used? (you can find out with lsmod in terminal, or running the puppy welcome screen shortcut)? If you don't have a copy of the previous xorg.conf, you could experiment running ...

Re: How to get kernel from Ubuntu 21.10 for Bionicpup64 8.0?

Try uninstalling the getnvidia program. You already have the driver, so it's not really necessary. As long as nouveau is blacklisted, or not included in the puppy libraries, the nvidia driver should load automatically. That's how I have it in my puppy - never used the getnvidia (wouldn't work on PUP...

Re: How to get kernel from Ubuntu 21.10 for Bionicpup64 8.0?

@mikeslr @shinobar I wonder if someone has asked himself why I didn't use getnvidia in fossa, build the driver under 5.4.53. Then switch the kernel in bionic with the 5.4.53 and, finally, load the previous obtained driver. (maybe that was the original mikeslr's question, before the second cup of co...
