Re: Alsamixer Equalizer Not Working

1- In regarding to your new broken sound problem, assuming you've put the above .asoundrc file in /root, you can probably remove it and reboot. I'm assuming you didn't have one there before (bionicpup64 is set to use a different file in /etc). [a .asoundrc.bak might be there however]

Re: no consigo instalar tor browser alguien me puede ayudar

Not the ideal place to install the browser, but anyway, in that example, you should go to terminal:

Code: Select all

chown -vR spot:spot /root/Downloads/extracted-tar.xz/tor-browser

And then, to start tor:

Code: Select all

cd /root/Downloads/extracted-tar.xz/tor-browser/
run-as-spot ./start-tor-browser.desktop

Re: Portable Apps as Buildin's

On fossapup 9.5, I just downloaded the portable you've kindly provided (https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=1150), updated it through the included script, and it still worked fine. I wonder if the issue is the update process that caused it not to launch for you? Edge is getting bigger and ...

Re: NoblePup32 - Ubuntu NobleNumbat + Debian Bookworm Github Woof-CE build

You do need to to do a restart of the window manager after you have installed it..... this calls fix-chromium.sh - you can do it manually if you want.

Thanks peebee. As I did this under PUPMODE 5, it hadn't run the script automatically, but the script has allowed chromium to run. Although still ...

I wonder if it would be possible to include in the next schedule, a 5.4 kernel? I used to occasionally download them, but noticed there haven't been artifacts of this LTS branch for a few months. Unfortunately I accidentally erased the USB drive which had puppy (fossapup64 9.5). No big deal, as I ...

That's correct, it's just /usr/local/pequalizer/func that needs changing

To get them working, you'll first need to know what are the keycodes for those buttons. On terminal, run xev. Every time you press a key, you will get an output in terminal of a few lines. For instance, I pressed F1 (while that white box is showing), and got

Nope, this is incorrect. root and spot are configured to use the same PulseAudio instance, the one running as spot. For example, if you change the volume in pavucontrol running as either root or spot, this change affects audio playing applications running as either user.

Try uninstalling the getnvidia program. You already have the driver, so it's not really necessary. As long as nouveau is blacklisted, or not included in the puppy libraries, the nvidia driver should load automatically. That's how I have it in my puppy - never used the getnvidia (wouldn't work on ...
