Re: no consigo instalar tor browser alguien me puede ayudar
Not the ideal place to install the browser, but anyway, in that example, you should go to terminal:
Code: Select all
chown -vR spot:spot /root/Downloads/extracted-tar.xz/tor-browser
And then, to start tor:
Code: Select all
cd /root/Downloads/extracted-tar.xz/tor-browser/
run-as-spot ./start-tor-browser.desktop

Re: NoblePup32 - Ubuntu NobleNumbat + Debian Bookworm Github Woof-CE build
You do need to to do a restart of the window manager after you have installed it..... this calls fix-chromium.sh - you can do it manually if you want.
Thanks peebee. As I did this under PUPMODE 5, it hadn't run the script automatically, but the script has allowed chromium to run. Although still ...

And if you only take zdrv from 9.5, this won't do anything, because the kernel is different and can't use the old drivers.
I had used the kernel I use with fossa (5.4.249) with the accompanying zdrv

Just saw a link to this post on the vanilla section.
Have not used BW64 yet, so not sure if this would work
Have you tried adding modprobe.blacklist=nouveau to the boot entry (append line)? And/or remove the nouveau drivers from zdrv
That's how I do it when I update the kernel and have to ...

You should be setting the shortcut in JWM --> JWM hotkeys instead

Nope, this is incorrect. root and spot are configured to use the same PulseAudio instance, the one running as spot. For example, if you change the volume in pavucontrol running as either root or spot, this change affects audio playing applications running as either user.
Oh right, good to know ...

Indeed @dimkr. Just attempted my quarterly kernel update today for bionicpup64, from your biweekly kernel-kit at github, and the recent build (4.19.275) no longer boots (fails to create an empty aufs stack). 4.19.264 works fine.

There are a few 5.x kernels for bionic, with sources, generously provided and hosted by rockedge: https://rockedge.org/kernels/

Re: How to get kernel from Ubuntu 21.10 for Bionicpup64 8.0?
@mikeslr @shinobar
I wonder if someone has asked himself why I didn't use getnvidia in fossa, build the driver under 5.4.53.
Then switch the kernel in bionic with the 5.4.53 and, finally, load the previous obtained driver. (maybe that was the original mikeslr's question, before the second cup of ...

Re: F96_4-radky6-CE Perfomance Evaluation and Finalization
Haven't looked at the devx 9.6, but on fossapup64 9.5 I often update the kernel, getting it from the kernel-kit. When I tried to compile the nvidia driver, it complained that the compiler version was different from the one used to build the kernel. The log you've attached seems to display ...
