I have a question on updating /lib/firmware, I'm currently using bootable USB fossa pup and I assume all drivers are in
fdrv_fossapup64_9 ...

Just purchased new X1 Lenovo laptop. Moving my Puppy Fosspup bootable USB to test and
Barry's network tool cannot detect any eth or wifi adapters on the new machine?

Any ideas on how to proceed.

Currently migrated from my NTFS USB with puppy_fossapup_64_9.5 to FAT32 given my new
laptop is UEFI picky and won't boot my old NTFS USB puppy. IE i had to do FAT32.

I had a very large 68G fossapup64save_luks.4fs file which was nice.
Now living in FAT32 I'm maxed out to 4G file size ...

Question/Problem:
Right Button (file property etc) works if using laptop key pad right button.
However if I use external mouse (Amazon Basics 2 button with roller) right
button doesn't work?

I got new laptop so prepping new USB to boot. Now I have to figure a way around the UEFI stuff.

My old trusty NTFS/Boot/Puppy won't work. so got one cooking FAT32 but now capped at 2G
on the save_luks which kinda sucks.

I'm able to play with urxvt but can't seem to change dark blue dir selection.
see attached.

My problem is changing directory listing (dark blue) to something brighter?
Can't see Dark Blue (dirs) in Urxvt.

Using fossapup64. Linux 5.4.53

Maybe manual edits of .Xdefaults file?

Hello,

I have default console colors (black background etc). Is there a way to select
different colors for background, files, directory etc. Having trouble with low contrasts.

Got it working. Found "python3-pip_20.0.2" in the package manager.

Installed and works.

I managed to get pip installed working via Package Manager!!!

Keyword search "python package installer" ->Listed "python3-pip_20.0.2" Python package installer.
All good. i was using "python-pip" which killed me.

ran "pip3 install pandas" and now MOVING again.

Trying to get "pip" to work on Fossapup64 9.5?? to do "pip install pandas"

I installed Pip via Package Manager "python-pip-whl_20.0.2". It says installed ok.
However in command line I cannot get "pip install pandas"

root# pip install pandas
bash: pip: command not found

Not a live install (As far as I know). I did install from via RUFUS/ISO to thumb drive then INSTALL from that another large 256G thumb
drive with NTFS did the Gparted thing wiht setting boot flag etc.
It has my fosapup64save.4fs which I extended in size. I've installed DevX and QtCreator and ...

YES "Are you using the Palemoon that was already in Fossapup64 9.5?"

YES "Set it to run as spot by using menu->System->Login and Security Manager->Configure Applications to run as spot?"

Running via desktop icon though.

Will try again later to check your "run-as-spot palemoon" command line

Hello,

Palemoon browser won't run as user "spot" on latest install of Fossapup?
It comes up and run as "root" in processes.

I tried:
su spot - defaultbrowser
I get error of PaleMoon profile cannot be loaded. Seems like permission?

I tinkered with "spot" permissions from 755 to 777 and same ...
