How to deal with missing packages/libraries while installing packages via PPM?
Hi all, I have been trying S15pup32 on an old laptop, and things were going very well. And I think I have the most recent version S15pup32 22.12. Lately I have been having several cases where I am trying to install a package via the Package Manager, and it has happened that when it finishes installi...

Re: Problem compiling udunits package in VoidPup
Thanks williams2 and rockedge for your answers. I havent been able to compile it myself, still have the error about the missing library containing log10 function, even after installing expat-devel or trying to link the library. The "-lm" is not recognized as an option for the configure scr...

Problem compiling udunits package in VoidPup
Hi all, I have been testing VoidPup to try to be able to run some very specific data processing on it. For this, I need to install the udunits package (and its libraries), which are not included in the main void repos. So I am trying to compile it from sources (here is the source https://artifacts.u...

Re: Rebooting from EasyOS messes the drive a bit
Thanks for your answer FeodorF Just downloaded and installed Dunfell most recent version (2.7.2) also within the same partition but I still have the same issue there too. Is this an issue of EasyOS? or could it be something in my grub configuration? Here is the grub config I am using for it, which i...

Rebooting from EasyOS messes the drive a bit
Hi all, I have been using EasyOS from time to time. I have it installed within a partition with Arch Linux, and have noticed that each time I reboot EasyOS the hard drive is a bit messed up, similar to when you don't shut down a pc properly... e.g. getting "clearing orphaned inodes" messag...

Re: Firefox freezes up
Yea, I have had the same issue of firefox freezing. It actually freezes everything in my Slacko7, especially when I have firefox and a few other software open. Sometimes not even killing it fixes it, but have restart x to fix it. I have always thought that it may be a RAM issue, I have only 1 Gb. Lo...

Re: Slacko Puppy 7.0
My first attempts with Puppy Linux were a couple months ago with Slacko 6 and loved it... so I was really was wishing Slacko 7 to come out. I installed Slacko 7 on the first days of January, and has been running great. Just wanted to say: Thank you so much for this beautiful puppy! The only problem ...

Re: How to uninstall sfs packages in a full puppy linux install?
Thanks all for you answers and advice. Alright, then removing files the dirty way is the way. Yea, I am giving a try to frugal install now. Probably not related to this thread, but as the topic about memory usage has come in a few of your answers... Would you recommend full or frugal in a 1 Gb RAM c...

Actually, the installed SFS does not appear in the package manager under uninstall, so I guess that is not an option.

How to uninstall sfs packages in a full puppy linux install?
Hi all, I recently installed Slacko Puppy on a laptop via full install. On it, I installed Open Office from the SFS manager, but now I would like to uninstall it.
