@MochiMoppel the bash script doesn't work for me either. Added to the .xbindkeysrc the command string works.

Re: How to make a sound every time you click something?

Looking at xbindkeys it could look like this in script form

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh

pkill xbindkeys
sleep 0.1
xdotool click 1
play sound.mp3 &
xbindkeys
b:1

Time to stock up on "Forever Stamps" 6 years ago, just before another increase in the stamp prices I bought $500 worth. Been using them since then and still have some unused rolls. Goes to show how much less actual mail we send anymore. My mailbox can go days now without any substantial p...

To run in F96-CE_4 LocalSend needs a package installed with the PPM or pkg -> libayatana-appindicator3-1_0.5.4-2 Download and Extract the tarball (or the .deb). Place inside a directory in a usual location, I used ~/my-applications Screenshot(8).jpg Install the dependency package listed above. Then ...

Re: How to convert PNG image to PDF?

Puppy continues to use an obsolete version.

Where is the not obsolete version? If it is to be an included application in future Puppy Linux variants it needs to be accessible for a woof-CE build run from a reachable repository.

I'm not hunting it down.

Chelsea80 A good visual comparision between a KLV-Airedale (usrmerge) and F96-CE_4 non-usrmerge: Screenshot(2).jpg Screenshot(1).jpg Most important is that in non-usrmerge the kernel modules are in /lib/modules and in usrmerge in /usr/lib/modules and the same pattern for the kernel firmware.

Re: Menu of links to KL creations

Are these all 64 bit creations? I see no mention of 32 or 64 bit. Almost all are 64 bit, though it is possible to build 32 bit versions of Void Linux based KLV's. I had produced a 32 bit KLV that used a JWM-Rox desktop but never fully polished it and haven't created one lately. Void Linux still off...

My thoughts on the matter are NOT that we were singled out on purpose, more that we were simply latched-onto purely at random.......just to see what would come of it. I don't really sense any malicious intent aimed specifically at this community; I just can't see a small, 'niche' discussion forum b...

Re: DistroWatch needs a newer Puppy version listed for Puppy Linux!!!!!

I have communicated with radky on the matter of BW64 - BW32 being the DW submission and he's okay with it BUT..... If the Puppy community decides BW64 and BW32 are appropriate for Distrowatch, that's OK with me though my availability for daily support of BW64 would be quite limited. If the Puppy com...

t does mean BookwormPup is using overlayfs instead of aufs - right?

Yes. Now on some of the most recent Puppy variants it is possible to indicate using aufs or overlay specified on the kernel command line in the boot stanza's.

However in 64bit Puppies like @radky 's BW64 or @rockedge 's F96-CE this code fails. The condition [ "$DISTRO_TARGETARCH" = "x86" ] is never true because in those distros the value of DISTRO_TARGETARCH is "x86_64" I was not aware that it does not work in F96-CE_4 . I d...
