Re: How to go into developer mode in chromebook with bad keyboard?
@mouldy The perception of "speed" is complex, depending on a lot of factors. You might try running some of the benchmarks in HardInfo. Also: wizard's rule #12 "All computer hardware is not created equal" wizard Ah but perception is everything. Just cause some test says one is faster in some ...

Re: How to go into developer mode in chromebook with bad keyboard?
I was just wondering why the N3060 seems even slower than the N2840 sometimes. I think its the heat. BookwormPup on both. Its showing under 30C temp on the N2840. Literally twice that on the N3060. Yea even after the new thermal grease. Now luckily the converted Dell chromebook with the N2840 has ...

Ok, Puppy oriented frugal install of android as described in the mentioned ITSFOSS article which in turn is just manual way of doing what the Android-x86 RPM script does. https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=11557 I rewrote a manual way of frugally installing android that works with the ...

Put one in the HP Stream along with a 256GB nvme ssd. Yea the youtube was right, you need rEFInd with the nvme driver to boot anything on the added ...

Re: Anybody run Rollemup pinball in late version Puppy or Dog?
There is now a flatpak version. But by time you add all the flatpak bloat.... Still better off using that WINE5 appimage plus the windows version rollemup. Alas rollemup was not open source. So nobody can recompile it to run on modern systems. Well unless the original authors chose to do so. Thats ...

Ok, on the windowsXlite.com site, there is a suggestion for a windows driver updater. There is a free version that works, but watch ever so closely or it tries to install bunch crapware. Anyway it did its thing and downloaded like 2GB of driver stuff. And it got the trackpad working Device HID ...

I got the SSD for my friends SGIN laptop today. Easy peasy installing win11 except for that stupid trackpad driver. Ok I get to the format part of installation, no trackpad. Fine use a mouse. Re: How to go into developer mode in chromebook with bad keyboard?
For going into developer mode just once, you most probably just need to connect an external Mac type USB keyboard. Some keyboards come in 2 flavours: PC and Mac (like the famous Logitech MX Keys for example). Obviously this could also be a permanent solution in case you plan to use the laptop as a ...

Puppy used to offer a full install option. Maybe still does and just hidden. Full install used to be suggested for very limited RAM computers. Then since few used it, nobody wanted to support it anymore so they hid it. I vaguely remember using very old Puppy like that on a P2 computer.... I played ...

Well she said the SGIN is packaged up ready for post office. And probably current MINT and even BookwormPup. Thats a good thing and ...

I suggest making shortcut that just starts the viewer now that you found the CL command to do this. Its lot more pleasant than opening full app and then trying to make it just open a book to read. Its a big app that tries to do a lot of things.

The Kindle for Android app does work fine. Waydroid has a learning curve but works fine, used on BookwormDOG ...
