Hi !
I have frugal installed fossapup64 (with save-folder option) on 16GB USB drive.
Laptop is ASUS X55C, RAM 4GB.
On same machine, I have Lubuntu and Xenialpup64 in dual boot.
Booting fossa from USB works OK.

Issue--->>
I am trying to copy files (>3GB) from HDD to /home/bkps within fossapup on USB ...

you can also try to download an older version of Libreoffice as an sfs file from Puppus Dogfellow and load it on-the-fly.

In order to try out your suggestion, I downloaded .pet & .sfs files.
Installed .pet and then .sfs
Got messages of successful installation.
Upon running calc ...

Umm......okay. My bad. I don't know why, but that's not the same as the one I use myself!

My own version - that gets regular use - is v7.0.3. I've re-uploaded to MEGA, so try that link again and download the one that's there now.

The first one took me to LO downloads page. After downloading V 7.1.8 and running, got the same 'jre' traceback as I mentioned in OP.
Means that it is also dependent on jre.

I am not a paranoiac ( :D ) about having the very newest version of any s/w (and any h/w too).
Perhaps that's why I am sticking to Xenialpup64 because it does ...

The PM waits in 'output' until the recipient reads it.

The problem is:
/usr/sbin/sns: line 533: iw: command not found

You need to install 'iw' from the PPM. Later puppys already have it. We did not need the trace to see that.

I think I should make sns detect that and complain.

But it is unable to scan wlan0.

BTW, I was thinking of using Brave browser.
But not sure whether they have really stripped off google-specific code (similar to the ungoogled chromium).
Does anybody have any idea regarding this?

In 3.x, the connections are listed starting with the last one defined, except that the wired connections are always at the bottom of the list. So, with a code change, if the last one defined is wired, that would be the preferred/default if available.

Simple_network_setup will not automatically start a wired ethernet connection if any wifi connection is available. That is the way it was designed.

It clearly says that wireless profile is tried first...
That means wireless choice is by default; it is built into the bricks & mortar of system.

You should be seeing the set as default option window, when you finish setup of the connection.
I get this window after setting up connection. But it is about 'default network tool', not 'default interface'.

Google search yields some suggestions---

1) it might be due to extension installed.

Has anybody experienced crashing of tabs in either v92.0.4515.131 or v90 ?
In my xenialpup64 7.5, many times crash is experienced on both the versions. Only new tabs crash upon opening. Existing tabs keep working.
In Lubuntu on same m/c, it's not seen.

This is just a physical solution. Laptops usually will have a function key that turns off the wireless interface. Perhaps that will enable your eth0 default setting.

By using function key, wireless would be disabled temporarily. That's it. How can it change default conn in settings ...

@vin - right click the taskbar network icon then click disconnect. Then right click it again & choose setup. Will be able to delete saved connection & start over.

Deleted wireless and then reconfigured.
Now eth0 is at no. 1 and wlan0 at no. 2

I looked at Barry's SNS as well as Network Wizard.
Although these are nice tools for internet setup, I couldn't find a way to specify default connection.
BTW can you please tell me what's the config file name and location for newtwork setup? Maybe some tweaking in that file would help.

After booting up, wlan0 is connected by default.
Would like to connect to eth0 by default.
Everytime after boot-up I need to disconnect it through Barry's SNS and connect eth0.

Ultimately I disconnected the keyboard connector.
