For time being I have opted for Libre-Office as an "portable" AppImage since it can be used across my other linux installations.

Fixed it at last.
I just repeated the whole bunch of suggestions given here and restarted again.
Now the sound is increased.
Don't know actually what worked & what didn't.
But anyways, it's fixed.
