Copy the YouTube video URL and paste into the VLC player's Media -> Open Network Stream network tab. As the video streams through VLC, you'll have a...

Re: I want to write programs in java

netbeans.org, fun place to explore. NetBeans IDE is a tool. I've used it when I coded java. How to set it up/install in puppy, is a different story. Maybe it's available through puppy package manager. Good luck  Edit: Also, one of getting started tutorials https://www.w3schools.com/java/def...

Re: Screen Brightness Slider

Here is the script file you can click on to run.

Had to add .zip to file name, so it would attach.
Remove .zip from name.
Right click on file.
Select properties.
Give exec permission.
So you can click on it, to run.

Beautiful.

Thx man!

Re: Why Do You Use Puppy Linux?

Puppyland's great :D At the end of the day, I find, it boils down to this. With Windoze, you don't have any choice but to use what somebody ELSE thinks is a good idea. Yeah, also that... I feel like class, with "the teacher" trying to convert me, not teach me . *ruun awaay...* Windoze is r...

Or because it's free/gratis. I'd buy if it was commercial product. I'm been using windows and linux/ubuntu for years...

Thx! I'll try out with both ways/solutions. dunno if I'm right with how the puppy works: Removing some programs(e.g. mulitmedia applications) with the utility remove built-in packages, does it actually remove from loadin into memory, at the system start? I've had initial ram usage with 330, after I ...
