BookwormPup on Puppy frontpage when?

Believe it or not, I still occasionally run Puppy Linux, but I'm curious on when will any of the BookwormPups be on the frontpage as the latest mainline version of Puppy Linux.

Thanks for your hard work though and I wish y'all a merry little Christmas and a happy New Year. <3

Re: Bookworm Pup64 10.0.3

Just a quick question: can I update my current install with apt upgrade or do I have to...y'know...download the iso and use FrugalPup to install anything new?

Re: PET & SFS Programs Compatible With Bookworm Pup64

I noticed that Wine is on this list and it's compatible with 32-bit Windows apps apparently. Before this, I remember having to have a separate 32-bit compatibility sfs as a dependency for Wine. Did you build/compile it with WOW64 enabled by any chance or something? Thanks for making this btw. :thumb...

The triumphant return I guess.

Hey y'all. It's been awhile. I just noticed that there is a "BookwormPup" and it has gotten me curious and excited. I'm really glad that there's still new Puppies coming out. So, I figured I'd announce my return to Puppy Linux...as soon as I can get BookwormPup on my old ThinkPad. For now,...

Problem setting up wireless connection on ThinkPad X140e

Hi. It's been awhile. So, I decided to try F96-CE on my Lenovo ThinkPad X140e, but I've come across a little obstacle: the wireless connection seems to not wanna turn on. All I get is eth0, so I had no choice but to use my phone as a USB modem. I really want to try this shiny new FossaPup64, but it'...

What are the parameters to VSCode again?

Okay, so I'm planning on installing Visual Studio Code for Atari 2600 games development reasons, but I can't remember the exact parameters to run it as non-root. Like how I did with Discord in the past with apulse run-as-spot discord.

Do I do the same with VSCode or is there anything more specific?

‘Morning @mikewalsh. I just got this to working and into use. It immediately nagged about an update, I think I downloaded it earlier in the week before your last update. My update was easy peasy; downloaded the Linux tar, not the deb, unzipped it and copied those files over into the main folder in ...

Re: April 21, 2022 starts 3 Major Distro Releases

Hi, long time no see. I'm honestly wondering if there'll be a mainline Puppy based on the new Ubuntu LTS version. However, I say that it just came out and we might wait a bit and see what it offers. By the way, I'm currently running Fossapup64 as my main Puppy for now. That's what got me curious abo...

BionicPup64 - Google Chrome latest version crashes immediately after I press any key...

Hi. So, long story short...I decided to come back to Puppy using BionicPup64...again. Okay, that is great, right? But I kinda also came to report a bug. You see this also happens after update the portable version. I switched to regular Google Chrome and no cigar. As the title says, Google Chrome see...

Re: Discord-portable...now @ v0.0.16

I know that the mainline Discord app hasn't been bumped up yet, but for when they do, I want to be prepared. And since you've been adding updaters to some of your portables lately, I was wondering if you could add one to Discord once it gets up 0.0.17. However, I'm not sure it'll be necessary since ...

Quick question: how does the "updater" work on this version? Does it just give a notification of when to switch to an updated version or does it automatically update the browser? I'm a bit confused about this tbh.

RasPiOS issues on Pi 400. Mostly to do with display and picking the right resolution

Hello. Long story short, I've been trying to fix something on AmogOS (a riced RaspPiOS) on my Raspberry Pi 400. The overscan issue. Apparently the Pi 4 and 400 don't really do with 1366x768 display. Especially with my Walmart-brand 10" TV. I already the Foundation's forums, but they haven't res...

Re: Raspup support for Raspberry Pi 400?

Okay...so...I couldn't figure heads-and-tails how to modify the config.txt. So instead, I hope to work on a Raspup remaster with somebody. It'll probably be something along the lines of updating the software on it and getting it to work on my end, since my TV/monitor is weird with Raspup somehow.

Hey guys. Today, I'm gonna figure out how to get Raspup working on my Pi 400 myself. Why? Because I just got the Pi 400 recently. I might try modifying the config.txt thing first and we'll go from there. Yay for this bump and stuff. :thumbup2:

Will there be a Raspup Bullseye in the near future?

I know that @01micko is busy with developing Slacko, but I'm kinda wondering if there'll be a new version with Bullseye in the near future. I was thinking of developing it myself with some help, but I'm not how long it'll take.

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Best regards,
Chase

I agree with bigpup on this one. Have you tried it out yet? If not, you probably should before asking these questions. However, I personally would love an ARM64 Puppy in the near future. We could create an ArmPup64 eventually, but I'm not sure. I already have stuff to do anyway. To put it simply, tr...

So, long story short, I set up my Raspup desktop and it got me thinking about this question (by suggestion of a friend who knows about FatDog nonetheless).

Can there be or will there be a Fatdog version for Raspberry Pi models? :geek:
