Sound driver selection should be a step in quick setup, to make sure the audio can be heard, and make sure the system is playing to the right sound card and output.

It loads the save file but not in the wanted PUPMODE=13. I used Pen Drive Linux to install Puppy Linux and Fatdog64 to the USB flash drive.

But I'm confused. "On my USB installation, basic.lst doesn't mention "PUPMODE 13" and there seems to be no file that lets me change the list of options in the startup menu." Apparently they changed the default mode for save files in Fossapup64 9.5. I want it to be the PUPMODE 13 used for save files to only update every so often. How do I change the operating system to use PUPMODE 13? Can I do this to an existing save file? On my USB installation, basic.lst doesn't ...

I'm not actually booting on CD as my main method, I generally use the installation on my hard disk or boot off my flash drive to run Fatdog64 on my laptop. I was just asking how much longer can users expect to be able to install Fatdog64 on a single CD - the installation is now 600 MB.

Sure, I wonder how much longer it will stay officially on one CD, since it increased by 300 MB since 2016 or so from the 700 series.

I've been in contact with the team. This is a known problem. The easiest way to re-install your old version is to right click on the latest working package (should be about 90M) and install it. Best to make sure Chrome is not running when you do. I had the same issue and had to use this method to ...

The official website at https://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/web/ says that "Fatdog is versatile: Use is at a Live CD (or Live USB), or install it." Is the "Use is at a Live CD" intended, or is a word incorrect?
