The link to use is in post #1: http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/puppy-upups/puppy-upupbb/bionicpup32.htm That is the link I used. You can check it yourself. The content of the md5 text has this line: &quo...

Re: Fossapup User Contributed Packages

Hello! Thank you for this distro.
I downloaded the iso file but I did not see a Devx file. Is there one or is it already included in the iso?
I am getting ready to test it in the coming week.
Thanks

Michel

Re: Boot Puppy directly from .iso without making a DVD, Frugal or Full install

Does it mean that you need a UEFI machine to run SuperGrub2? NO! Look at the site provided above. If you choose to download the ISO, its only 15MB. And if you create it on a CD/DVD, it boots in 6 seconds on a old BIOS PC. If you have a folder on your system, preferably on the root of a drive that h...

Re: LxPupSc64

Hi @michel804 ... Which bootloader are you using? What is the boot entry? e.g. menu.lst for grub4dos. The browsers are compatible with 20.06 but not 19.09. Hi peebee , thanks for your response. I am using the Live CD and not an installed setup. The save file is on the HD in a separate partition in ...

Re: Boot Puppy directly from .iso without making a DVD, Frugal or Full install

Well, now.... SuperGRUB2 appears to work fine.....so long as you're running a mainstream derivative from recent years. ... It all appears to centre around the need for something called the "loopback.cfg" file; if this is not present, you're on a hiding to nothing. So despite Clarity's cla...

Re: Add Puppy & DebianDogs to a Grub2 Menu

Hello @mikeslr how do you get the menu.lst file at the start of a partition since Legacy Grub doesn't work with UEFI machine? I tried installing Puppy using the Universal Installer but it refused since I have an UEFI machine.
Thanks for your help

Re: LxPupSc64

I am new to LxPupSc / ScPup but not to Puppy Linux, I have used slacko and Lighthouse puppy in the past. I am testing LxPupSc64 19.09 because it has the uefi capability. My goal is to do a frugal install and use it regularly: Email, web browsing and programming in Python3 as well as compiling other ...
