Re: FrugalPup v40, very flexible Puppy frugal installer, supporting i18n
@One asked if order should be "search --no-floppy --set=root --fs-uuid xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
On my usual latop I altered "search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" to ""search --no-floppy --set=root --fs-uuid xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
and no difference.

Re: Video DownloadHelper stopped working in YouTube
OK, I just did a comparison download, same clip & quality ytube clip, using lux vs yt-dlp. Lux was a lot slower than dlp. It
was a lot faster, (but still slower than dlp), when I used the -m option for multiple threads:
Code: Select all
lux -m Url

As an alternative to yt-dlp, for downloading videos via commandline, there's also lux:

Precompiled binaries are available here:

Hmmm...maybe a work in progress. While it detects youtube videos playing, and has a download popup, no success yet in downloading anything.

Hello Peebee,
Just curious if I'm only one experiencing xlock password not working. If I set a password, reopening lid just restarts xserver, without asking for pword. S15
works OK for me, but I prefer your Lx64 series. The screenlock last worked for me with LxPupSc64-21.04.

FastFlix video encoder
https://github.com/cdgriffith/FastFlix
This is a useful gui frontend to ffmpeg. I found the ubuntu_20_x86_64 worked on LxPupSc64, whereas
the other version required a newer glibc.

Python3.11.1 is available as an appimage here. https://github.com/niess/python-appimage/releases
Just need to download the relevant one, make it executable, then symlink to /usr/bin/python

SikuliX automates anything you see on the screen of your desktop computer running Windows, Mac or some Linux/Unix.
I haven't used this yet, just downloaded the jar file so far, but just thought I'd post anyway.

Hello Soniabu,
I received the same libaudio2 error as you, running Launch, but if I went into the main directory, (not on computer at moment so forget what it's called), and instead click on the MasterPdf binary, it ran without problems, so worth a try.

Hello Mouldy,
there is a tcl version of wordle, by Frank Bannon here, which seems to run, but I can't work out how to use it! If you think its OK it shouldnt be too hard to bundle it as a tclkit of the order of 2Mb.

Re: Simple websites
Thanks williams2, that's the one I couldn't find.
Thanks also JASpup, you reminded me I couldn't get snoring_cat's dillo to work for me
due to missing libraries. I used to use dillo as a light html doc viewer.
Cheers
