I was able to download the SSR on my 64bit S15 but won't launch. On terminal I get error while loading shared libraries: libavformat.so.58 there is no file on the PPM. Anyone able to get SSR working?

Re: permanently changing screen magnification?
Do you want all text graphics to be larger?
You could try to edit .Xresources file. geany /root/.Xresources and
add to the end of the file or replace the number to : Xft.dpi:144 save and close, then run xrdb -merge .Xresources and reboot. Is this what u r looking for?

I see the information is referring only to a save file.
Is it for a save folder as well? It seems the linked article refers to a save folder.

Ok, this works great.
Doing it this way I found that when it wanted to use Grub4Dos for the bootable part,
I needed to add the full folder structure:
psave=SAV:/save/BookwormPup64_10.0.9_nkb/
That way the save goes all the way to the proper SAV:/save/BookwormPup64_10.0.9_nkb in this ...

This post is in addition to what bigpup shared about drive icons.

Re: can't lock partition icon after boot...
Those drive icons are not normal desktop icons and they do not work the same way.
The lock option will not work for them.
If you think the lock option is something to keep it mounted all the time.
No that is controlled by Pmount.
In Pmount
Right click on the listed partition and check mount ...

can't lock partition icon after boot...
HD partition icons are very helpful and there is an option to lock it so can't accidentally be removed. However after a boot this lock function reverts back.
Is there a way to lock it permanently?

Re: I need an idiots guide on how to use gFTP
Point of clarification...
Host machine runs PureFTP, which must be started from the Network Menu. Turn OFF host firewall. Use ifconfig in the terminal to get its IP, eg 192.168.1.xxxx
Guest/recipient machine runs gFTP. Turn OFF host firewall. Add the IP of the host, 21, root, & woofwoof.
The ...

No, there's no portable version of gThumb. I'm not even sure quite where you'd start with that; it's not something I've ever really looked into. I usually give the portable treatment to stuff that's either already available as an AppImage, OR is built in its own self-contained ...
