Re: Bullseye build script

Good morning, Fred! Questions for clarification:
In "Chose Desktop Environment" the current standard in use is "4) DDog, Debian Full Openbox-Xfce-Jwm Version", correct?
Will the "mklive-bullseye" script create a new ISO?

Thanks! :thumbup2:

Re: DebianDog Sid (without systemd) Updated 2020-11-25

Hello, Fred! I downloaded "DebianDog-Bullseye-20201127-overlay_amd64-UEFI.iso". I noticed that his filesystem.squashfs is smaller (less 91Mb) than that of "DebianDog-Sid-full-20201125-overlay_amd64-UEFI.iso". So, I replaced the filesystem for the "DebianDog-Sid" install...

Re: DebianDog Sid (without systemd) Updated 2020-11-25

Hello, Fred! Now, I am more familiar with DebianDog and do some experiments! Just to let you know: the FatDog 32-bit compatibility package works well on DebianDog. I made a combination with Wine and it resulted in this: 32bit-fd64_811.sfs + Wine-3.3-V.2.1 = 07-wine32.squashfs Now with DebianDog, I c...

Re: Next LTS Kernel will be 5.10 Announcement

The 5.10 series works well, but when I try to use a chrome-based browser (Google Chrome, Vivaldi or Chromium) the system freezes. I have no such problems using 5.10 with Woof-CE built systems - so the problem may lie with compatibility with Fatdog......?? The aufs patches for 5.10 are very interim ...

Re: Next LTS Kernel will be 5.10 Announcement

I tend to make real time kernels and so far the 5.10.XX series I can't even get a good AUFS version to compile never mind a real time configured kernel. Though I'm not needing one so I have not pursued it. I have good performance from the real time 5.4.70-rt40 kernel and otherwise I have outstandin...

Re: DebianDog Sid (without systemd) Updated 2020-11-25

Hello, Fred! These delays in loading the Vivaldi, are brief freezes of the system, where it is possible to notice the clock stops at the conky. It only occurs with kernel versions above 5.8. In Debian, it still works. In FatDog64, when trying to load chromium-based browsers, the system crashes compl...

Corrected, according to the recent release of version 5.10.1: New build of Kernel 5.10.1 overlayfs, latest release, 2020.12.14. I'm testing it now, everything is working fine, there is still a delay of approximately 18 seconds with each Vivaldi load. However, there are no more crashes, even after re...

Hi! It is certainly good news! We have used aufs for years, it is great, we got used to the facilities that aufs provides. Re: Pugdog - a cut-down version of Bulldog

Rufwoff: I followed your instructions (make localyesconfig and make -j2) and compiled the 5.4.78 aufs kernel again. Vmlinuz got 7.7 Mb. Initrd has 5,8 Mb and fd64.sfs 216 Mb (without the fat). No firmware file. The result: Everything I use worked perfectly! There is no more FatDog64 but the GalgoDog...

@Duprate
DebianDogs already have the facility to run as an unprivileged user. It has a program run-as-user, which is exeuted the same as run-as-spot.

Nice! I know little about DebianDog. I didn't know ... But like water, I always find the way. Thanks!
