Several ways to skin a fat dog!

Helo! FatDog64 is a very efficient system (everyone already knows). Recently, I decided to find other ways to start it. So, using Slacko64's initrd, with some modifications to the "init" script and "DISTRO_SPECS", the system continues to work very well. What is the advantage? Non...

Thank you for making "Kernel_sources-5.11.11-lxpup64" available, so I was able to compile a specific kernel with 8526K in size, for my hardware. :thumbup2:

Re: Update kernel on FatDog for Bay Trail device

Helo! Lately, I stopped compiling the kernel for my PC. I have been following Peebee's work. It makes a great compilation, it is very fast and it keeps everything up to date. Works on AUFS and Overlayfs systems. I'm using it on Fatdog64 and also on DebianDog64 Bullseye (https://forum.puppylinux.com/...

Hi Fred! I walk a little quiet. I adapted so well to Debian Dog Bullseye that I was speechless! I update the system whenever you make a new mklive-bullseye script available. As I use browsers in separate modules, I always remove Firefox-esr. However, this is not a problem but a private choice of min...

To be fair to a person who tries very hard to make a good job available, I tested Kernel 5.10.12-lxpup64, Kernel 5.10.13-lxpup64 and 5.10.14-lxpup64, from "peebee" on FatDog64. On my PC intel, it worked perfectly with all software. Unlike previous versions of the 5.10.x series. Whoever nee...

Re: Bullseye build script

Hello, Fred! A question: Since the DebianDog initrd is based on the Porteus initrd, why is there a need to have /lib/modules/5.xx.x the kernel modules if this folder is already inside the 02-kernel-5 module. xx.x.squashfs? I noticed that in the Porteus initrd there isn't, being much smaller. Does De...

Good afternoon Fred! I made a new filesystem with its script "mklive-bullseye-2021-01-23". Very good! On my PC, I noticed a faster boot. I tried the "Activate module" and "deactivate module" options, with a "Clamav.sfs" module and another "Seamonkey.squas...

Re: Next LTS Kernel will be 5.10 Announcement

Today, January 20, 2021, I compiled the 5.11.0-rc4 kernel and obtained an excellent result with DebianDog Bullseye. It worked just as well as it works with the 5.4.x series. All browsers, wine and games worked perfectly, without crashes. I had doubts about the proper functioning of the 5.10.x series...

Hi Fred! I used the mklive-bullseye script (18Jan2021). The ISO was created successfully. I would like to ask: I missed the network_tray.sh in / usr / bin and the icon on the tray. It was just a curiosity, about the peasywifi ... Also in the menu, I didn't see the "Repository Configuration"...

Because it is the future, and the future can be now. Aufs will always be a patch, it was not accepted by Linus Torvalds.
