Re: Vanilla Dpup 9.2.0 Preview

Hi Dimkr! I installed Vanilla Dpup 9.2.0 Preview 16. Everything is working fine. I'd just like to make a suggestion: I think Firefox-esr could be in a separate file (adrv_vanilladpup_9.2.0.sfs). So, whoever doesn't want to use it, just remove the file. After configuring the savefile, I converted it ...

Hi Dimkr! in this your new version of Dpup you don't use Xwayland. I thought this was the highlight of its development (it was in 9.0.x), which would be a future trend in other linux. As I use version 9.0.x daily, I had already gotten used to it.... Good luck in your work!

Re: What's Your Favourite Puppy Of All Time?

Hi! I started in 2010 with Puppy-5.1.1, going through all versions until I got to Fossapup64-9.5. What I liked the most was Puppy-5.2.8. What I used the longest (and still use) were the Slacko64 versions. At the same time, I was also using FatDog64, having started using the FatDog64-700 (2015) and ...

Hello! I only use overlayfs, on FatDog64, Vanilla Dpup64, Voidpuppy64, BionicPuppy32 and any system I still use. The AUFS, I buried it more than a year ago. Everything I might need to load after starting the system, I converted it to ROXapps. Some create symlinks, others run locally, others are ...

If you don't mind connecting a USB cable, in Fatdog there's also MTP Browser in the File System section of the system menu. Although I've been using FatDog for years, most of the programs included, I've never used it and don't even know what it's for. Thanks Step for pointing out the "MTP-browser ...

Re: Vanilla dpup 9.1.X observations

Just asking if you know of an alternative that works with wayland... AFAIK an alternative is not needed, because brightness controls work normally (at least, in all computers I tried). AFAIK brightnessctl uses the kernel directly (via /sys), and doesn't have to go through X to change brightness. Hi ...
