the utility, "as stated" is NOT going to backup/restore a save in the session folder, by design. Again, this is how I understand the description presented.
Once again, that is correct, plainly stated when the program runs. It means there are some minority use cases where it currently ...

You're not limited to whatever locations you've "hard-coded" into the script
Not actually "hard-coded", rather it is retrieved from the /etc/rc.d/PUPSTATE file, so it works with any drive/location where Puppy was booted.

User-friendliness is of paramount importance.
Yes, one of the hardest parts of helping users on the forum is gauging their current skills and knowledge. We are often handicapped by our own familiarity of Puppy.

Now, don't get me wrong when I say this! I love my GUIs, it's true, but.....what's wrong with using the command-line for 'basic' stuff like this? :o I'm beginning to think we've got a generation of Puppy users who have become afraid of the thing

Set up your files and directory structure for building the sfs, then in Rox , right click the directory and choose: dir2sfs. If you prefer XFE there's a way to use it too, let me know.

I don't think I've ever seen YAD used quite like that before..!
Guess you are referring to how the YAD statements are built. Easier for me to build and troubleshoot if they are columnar rather than linear, especially if they are long or complex. Example:

YAD is far easier to pick-up the basics of and to start achieving results with. Gtk-dialog is incredibly fussy, and needs several lines to do something that YAD can often achieve in one.....

Until we meet at the red light on Main Street......then perspectives change.
There's a lot of enjoyment in Puppy when others are agonizing over the problems and expense associated with MS Windows, Mac or even the big Linux distros.

The AI response for this is way out of bounds as it applies to Puppy. The CPU frequency app is an easy method that has been used for many years. Never been any reports of bad results. Personally use it on all my systems (which is a lot).
