That sounds ominously like support for my daft questions so here goes.

How do you set up a desktop feature complete with an icon to start firefox on S15Pup64, simple steps please, I'm a user not a techy.

Until it is shown that it has happened we can only proceed in the confidence that it hasn't happened. We all start by applying common sense as we have been doing for some years now. In a community of mutual trust we can't do any thing else.

Many thanks, I set up S15PUP64. Its quite impressive - but the light browser that comes with S15 it seems to allow me to set up a new email but wont insert an addressee from my contacts list. I have logged into both my contacts list and calendar successfully.

I think I have downloaded it, how do I extract and get it set up. I'm no tech wizard. I have been using puppy for a long time but it seems to have changed radically recently.

Its Firefox Quantum 68.12.oesr (32 bit).

I have recently set up a new laptop with Slacko 7 - everything seemed to be going well until I came to set up gmail, its giving some details but is missing out others. I enclose an image of what I'm seeing on screen.

Thanks for the suggestion and that works for individual addressees but it doesn't work with a distribution list.

Thanks bp, while installing the system came up with 11 errors so I think it looks like my .iso is corrupt. I'll try again. Thanks for all your efforts.

Should have said that Partition 1 was flagged as Boot.

Hi there Bigpup, I have set up the following partitions:
Partition 1 - 515Mb - FAT32
Partition 2 - 463.28Gb - Ext4
Partition 3 - 1.9Gb - Linux Swap. Its not clear to me if this partition is still needed.

What I'm trying to achieve is to load puppy 8.2.1 onto a partition on the hard drive. The laptop will be dedicated to running Puppy and will not have any windoze on it. I have set up the following partitions on sda- Boot 500M, Data 46G and Swap 500M.

Sorry, I'm not ignoring you, Puppy has changed almost out of all recognition since I last loaded Slacko 5.7. I'm working my way through what you have written and learning much that is new. Thanks.
