Re: Portable build of WINE 9.3 "staging" - AppImage-based...
Ah, hell; my bad. Good catch.
I had a huge clearout over at MediaFire the other week.....had a ton of files nobody had downloaded for literally years, so I decided it was high time I freed-up the space. I must have accidentally caught the WINE-portable directory by mistake! :roll: :oops:

@Dingo :-
Try putting them under /usr/share/fonts instead. It's more of a primary location for apps to search.
$HOME ("/root")/.fonts is far from being standard, AFAIK. In fact, a quick search of my own kennels shows not one Puppy has this directory OOTB. Did you add this yourself? If so, I'm ...

We have to re-iterate this from time to time, so here we go.
BIOS/Init processes automatically generate SD? assignments. There is absolutely NO guarantee that the disk that was '/dev/sda' this time will be 'sda1' next time.
So how to solve? Use the UUID's people. That is their sole reason to exist ...

Re: CUPS keeps to print a pdf in / every time I boot puppy
What you may try to do is to boot without loading the save (file or folder)...then open Rox Filer (or other file manager of choice) and
navigate to where the PDF has been saved. Then move it to your preferred directory. It's also possible that CUPS may have created
a sym-link to the PDF (if ...

Re: block appimage from fill pupsave with their content
You can move the file /root/.config/acbr-comic-book-reader to somewhere else outside of the save file, and then just 'copy' it back to the same location as a symlink ie replace the actual file with a symlink
This is a common method of avoiding the problem you describe - with many programs.
Also ...

block appimage from fill pupsave with their content
Appimage are very useful, but they are not truely portable, since they create directories on filesystem with less or more content inside. I'm using a cbr comic reaader

that creates a directory in /root/.config/acbr ...
