I moved 'hplip-3.25.2' and 'hplip-3.25.2 run' away from Downloads to an external storage drive.

So, the compiler will tell you which modules are required when it fails to build.
This is for Qt6.8

If you start your application in terminal it should spit out the errors and you can then add the modules required.

Everything I'm reading, which are mostly forum posts discussing software compatibility and backward compatibility between Qt5 and Qt6 seems to me to be indicating that both of them don't exactly coexist in the same environment.

Boot either of your KDE ISOs, install Double Commander, does it work? If so, this offers some insight. If you boot their ISO files, the time to do it and test is less that 2-3 minutes, max.
This may not be helpful, yet would be insightful as future KLs may all advance to QT6 as well as GTK4 only ...

It is not so simple for me to change OS. It took me two years to get to this point with first fossapup and now bookworm, and I do not relish the though of starting over again with a yet another OS. Also, my portable apps would likely be null and void.
