Re: Can Mesa Shader Cache be deleted with no harm?
It would be safest to re-start X/Xorg/Xwindows after deleting the Mesa Shader Cache.
That will replace the items in the cache dir, so there is not much point in deleting the mesa cache.
It's only about 2MB in my Pup.
glxgears seems to run properly if the cache is deleted.

Re: Get rid of Gnu Grub menu?
There should be a file named grub.cfg on the usb flash drive, probably in a folder named boot.
Edit it and change any line with
set timeout= anything
to
set timeout=0
This will boot the default menu item without displaying a menu.

Re: Problem with portables (bash related?)
For me, putting the
unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH
line in /opt/Iron-portable/iron64/iron-pup
works, and with sound in youtube videos,
Same script works in both FossaPup and in BionicPup64.

Re: Problem with portables (bash related?)
In FossaPup, sound seems to work with
unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH
I'm not sure what works and what does not work.

Re: Problem with portables (bash related?)
This time i set
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/apulse
without a trailing colon.
Seems to work, sound works in a youtube kitten video

Re: Problem with portables (bash related?)
I edited /opt/Iron-portable/iron64/iron-pup, adding this line:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/apulse:
above the exec ... line
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/apulse: has a colon at the end of the line
It seems to work in FossaPup

Re: Problem with portables (bash related?)
not sure what you have done, but I've found in fossapup,
LD_LIBRARY_PATH needs to be unset
like this:
unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH ; /opt/Iron-portable/LAUNCH
or by editing the script.
