Very clear fonts used. Touchscreen tracking is perfect. Wonderful Major use issues I think this is an oversight. Where is SAMBA? Please fix. I cannot share files to my TV and others on the LAN. Installation via PPM is unsuccessful. JWM config for Virtual Desks does NOT work (Menu>Desktop>JWM>Tray .....

I think there is an oversight...If this is a WoofCE generated ISO, Where is SAMBA? Touchscreen tracking is perfect. Able to adjust virtual desktops via Menu>Desktop>Desktop settings>tray without issues. If this is a WoofCE PUP, please include its SAMBA. Also the best Chrome browser "installer&q...

How to upgrade Chrome in FD810? <Solved>

There is a bug in the ability to upgrade FD810 when an older version of Chrome is present in the system. Upgrade via Menu>Setup>Control Panel>Updates>Chrome Though it works without errrors, will leave you with a non-functional Chrome browser. Circumvention Remove Chrome from the system: Menu>Setup>C...

Re: Your Favourite Pups at the moment thread.

All of the WoofCE PUPs generated this year are fabulous. I am extremely happy with what I see those developers doing to make PUP generation easy. Their efforts are incredible! FATDOG is an outlier; not only does it boot on secure-boot disabled PCs, it boots equally on secure-boot enabled PCs. ALL ot...

Re: How to transfer files on LAN?

ALL modern PUPs come with SAMBA, if you have things you want others on your LAN to see. Menu>Network>Simple Sharing Every other computer on your LAN, Linux, Windows, Macs, Chromebooks, Phones, etc can access what you share. NO installation or use of any additional software on ANY of your LAN PCs is ...

Puppy Linux, of course is one. Before that, SAMBA is another.
Here's another of their technical achievements

I find this chart an excellent reference for the USB "bus".

Please understand that this is the bus behavior. It is NOT how the devices on the bus will behave. It is well known that USB stick's performance is all over the speed map(s).

Re: Fossapup64 9.0.5 RC3

The current PPM version of QEMU delivers with a very unwanted feature: It "DEMANDS" VNC. That is suppose to be an option, not an OOTB use of QEMU. In the version someone put on PPM, it has been modified to "force" VNC. I, personally, believe that it was an erroreous PET that some...

Curious...Why dont we just prepay the account? Send money, they apply to the account, the site remains active as the ISP has the system set up to do the renewals when money in the account exceeds what is needed for renewal(s).

Dont know if the avenue is apparent or available.

Projects vs Derivatives

Should "Projects" be PUPs/DOGs generated by a distro wizard such as WoofCE or something, WHILE "Derivatives" are mere remasters of some Project PUP/DOG? Derivatives could also include some Linuxes crafted to look like a PUP where it was cobbled together using some non-traditional...
