Re: how to insert frequently used icons into the panel.

A strange thing happens with Application launch bar after I created the '.desktop' for AppImage. After choosing the five favorite applications (of which two are AppImages) at the next boot - occasionally - I find no more than one or two icons of the five choices. If I open the Application launch ba...

Re: How to use DSN Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) ?

So it seems that I succeeded by following the previous url, that is, by inserting ect/resolv.conf.head (which I assumed was not there previously) the nameserver 1.1.1.1 compare screen next. (what I don't know is how to check if I actually use the Cloudflare DSN. Maybe there will be a Linux command b...

How to use DSN Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) ? (SOLVED)

I everyone. In my Bookworm (debian) I would like to use Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) as a DSN but I really don't know how. In my ect/resolv.conf I have this nameserver 192.168.1.1 (I think my provider); should I instead enter: nameserver 1.1.1.1 ? Or do I need to change some parameters in PeasyWIFI (release...

For more convenience (instead of following instructions from first post) I've added to custom repo pipewire-setup .deb package, download and install: https://github.com/doglinux/book-worm/raw/master/amd64/pipewire-setup_1.2.0_all.deb (edit: for Bookworm, Daedalus and Sid, tried on Bullseye too but ...

Re: Alert Battery limit is being reached.

Maybe I solved it... I'm a little ashamed  to say it but I didn't have installed - libnotify-bin
which seems to be the software that sends the message to the desktop.
When it happens I did the test.
And then I'll inform you.

Alert Battery limit is being reached. SOLVED

Hi all.
Using Debian 12 Bookworm when my Lenovo is running on battery power, when the battery runs out it shuts down without
any warning, often leaving me like a goose. .
Isn't it possible, I don't know, to emit an acoustic signal or a message saying that the 10% limit is being reached?
thx sonia

Re: Calibre 6.21 AppImage start error

After Fred told me to install the missing software (see above) to start Caliber 6.26 AppImage, I realized that Caliber only opened PDFs while for epubs it gave the error img 1. A search suggested excluding sandbox (img2 command). So to recap; a) Sandboxing disabled command; b) launch of Caliber 6.26...

Calibre 6.21 AppImage start error (SOLVED)

Hi everyone. I'm trying to use the Caliber 6.21 AppImage to replace the current 5.44 that I've been using for a long time. When I try to launch the application I get this type of error (cf. img) that I don't know how to resolve. Could anyone who uses Calibre AppImages updated to 6.21 or 6.26 suggest...

Thanks guys for all this help but the incident hasn't happened again for about four days - I only performed an update/upgrade once. don't worry Fred it's not something that bothers me. I reported this in case it was a Bookworm system error that someone else had already encountered. Maybe everything will be sorted out in subsequent upgrades.

This one I'm merging is Linphone.desktop.
