I'm NOT meaning to criticize those of you looking to make separate sections for each distro but lets remember who actually "gets
stuck" with doing All the restructuring! AFAIC, I have NO problems with the present setup. And yes, there is no doubt very many
"phantom users", who use our forum almost ...

bigpup Thanks for those tips. However, even though I've tried all of them numerous times
in the past, I tried them again, to no avail. One of the almost new ones,American made, 64GB, locked up(read only)
was used for Ventoy. Also, at least 2 of the chips were Ventoy. However, thanks anyway. I just ...

@wizard Have tried that-negative results. Also tried with several partition apps-all negative.
A couple of the flash drives are fairly new 64GB US made drives, and would hate to part with them. Somehow there's got
to be a cmd to do the job.

mikewalsh The "dd cmd" you listed does not work to clear"read only". I have about 8 (combined) chips
and flash drives that somehow got corrupted to read only, that I want to wipe clean, but so far, have not found any app or cmd
that can do it. Believe me, I've tried a lot.

In USA, some credit unions, and maybe banks, offer up TurboTax on-line, whereby you run it from your browser.
"State" options are available. They even discount slightly the TT advertised prices. Upon completion of the

My IBM Thinkpad T43 has been sitting on the back desk with an older v of AntiX on it. Haven't turned it on for well over a year.
Am thiking now, of wiping the HDD and placing FriendlyJammy32 on it.
Do you recommend to do a frugal install from one of my puppies on it, and, firstly. any need for ...
