Re: Gimp sfs in Fossapup64
Maybe... But I suspect it's because I had Gimp installed using PPM and then uninstalled it to use the sfs version. It must have left over some remnants from the previous install which prevented the sfs from working properly If you kept your old save. You can use Pfind, to do a search in it, for ...

Re: Gimp sfs in Fossapup64
I want to go down the rabbit hole, trying to figure out what is wrong, in your save :thumbup2: :D :ugeek: :o  Come on! Keep in mind, Fossapup64 9.xxxx is still in final testing and bug fixing. You may have discovered a bug  :o :ugeek: Maybe... But I suspect it's because I had Gimp ...

Re: Gimp sfs in Fossapup64
Thanks for testing it.
I have Fossapup64 installed on a usb stick. As far as I know I didn't do anything unusual. Everything is working perfectly including the LibreOffice 6.4 sfs I downloaded.

Re: Fossapup64 9.0.4 RC2
Did anyone test the gimp sfs in the repository? I can't get it to work... I posted about it in the Beginner's section viewtopic.php?f=2&t=463 but I figured maybe worthwhile to mention here.
Thanks.
Edit: turned out I had something wrong in my pupsave. All sorted now

Re: Gimp sfs in Fossapup64
I know, I tried unloading and then loading a few times, I also did a reboot. Like I wrote in my original post I wonder about the file structure in this sfs...

Gimp sfs does nothing in Fossapup64
I downloaded the sfs for Gimp from the Puppy repository at ibiblo. Took it from the /Fossapup64 folder. I can't do it through quickpet because I don't have a reliable internet connection where I am. So I used my phone to dl it directly. Problem: loading the sfs doesn't seem to do anything, it claims ...

Re: Pale Moon v.28.12.0 (2020-8-04) - update
How does one go about installing the new version? I downloaded the 64 bit version and extracted it. It contains a folder 'palemoon' and a few sub folders. In 'palemoon' there's an executable file named 'palemoon' and a bunch of other files. When I click on 'palemoon' it opens the browser to the new ...

Re: How to enable Suspend in Fossapup64 on USB?
festus Thanks, I tried your script and followed your setup. Problem is it wakes up immediately! It seems to suspend for a second and then wakes up. Any idea of what I can do to fix this? I never had problems with suspend in other distros or in Windows so I know it should work...

Re: Using AppImages under Puppy Linux.....
Maybe one day all software for linux will be made to run on all linux distributions and versions (one fits all). What a day for celebration that will be. Heh. 'Twould be nice, wouldn't it? :D Trouble is, most of these things seem to be written for modern hardware, pre-supposing powerful CPUs, large ...

How to enable Suspend in Fossapup64 on USB?
I'm running Fossapup64 9.0.4, installed on a USB stick, Acer Aspire One D257 netbook with 2gb RAM I would love the option to suspend. On the other thread I started 666phlib pointed me to the script in /etc/acpi/actions/suspend.sh. Looking at that and the other scripts there it seems that suspend is ...

How I installed LibreOffice from Appimage in Fossapup64
I wanted to install LibreOffice in Fossapup64, however the only internet I can access now is on my cellphone, so no way to get the sfs. Instead, I downloaded the LibreOffice appimage version, copied it into /root, checked the exec box in properties ... and it works! Just an FYI. Sorry if this is old ...

Re: Removing desktop and tray icons, suspend option
I finally got it to work using the blank icon. The drives icon was tricky because with every reboot it came back. I ultimately replaced the drive48.png with the blank icon and renamed it to drive48.png I now have a clean desktop with a hidden drives icon. Thanks!!!

Re: Removing desktop and tray icons, suspend option
Thanks for the replies. I already exhausted all the options in the JWM manager but there aren't any options for the icons on the right just for the launch icons on the left. I'll check that systray config file when I get a chance. There isn't any option to totally remove drives icon. The only option ...

How to remove desktop and tray icons, suspend option from BionicPup64?
Using Bionic64 and mostly figured out how to customize the DE to my liking. A few questions... 1 Is there any way to get rid of the drives icon? 2 Ditto for the save icon? 3 Can I customize the tray icons that are on the right side such as battery indicator and volume etc.? 4. Is there any way to ...
