hpcups 3.18.6 apparently came from the printer when I let CUPS 'find new printer'.
BTW, hpcups 3.18.6 is a 'copy and paste' right out of CUPS.

I'd suggest removing all the old info, rebooting to clear everything out, connect via usb and let CUPS 'find' the printer, you may have a different driver ...

I finally got my HP printer (Deskjet 3700 series) to work when I loaded hpcups 3.18.6 (all others failed just like yours), but only via usb, wireless no luck. The differences in the printers may mean you need a different driver, I don't know.
