(Raspberry pi zero) Usable browser with java script support?

I forgot to mention this issue when i first use raspup. I unable to launch vivaldi.sfs made using the sfs downloader. I tried to launch vivaldi-stable as root, but what i got was 'segmentation fault' error. I recalled tried to download vivaldi.sfs as 'spot' too, but still failed to launch vivaldi. C...

Re: Raspup full install on an actual hard drive on the Raspi Zero W

Hi samedog , i am very impressed by your works too. I use raspup on raspberry pi zero every day as a low power computer, mainly for lite browsing and writing. The raspberry pi zero's ram limitation is a big problem. After we loaded raspup (with save file) into ram, the usable memory becoming quite l...

Re: Personal storage fills without saving?

If you are running from USB flash nothing is written to the save file if save interval is zero and you didn't save manually. Though, after a reboot you would need to install the program again. If you are running from hard disk everything is saved immediately - always. There's some tricks to let har...

Most companies do not allow this, but I guess yours does. Using Puppy like this. You have total control of the computer and are not a restricted user. Like most users of Windows on company computers. Usually they only allow the company computer tech department have total control. Thats right bigpup...

Is it possible, to create a Puppy pendrive which boots in both Legacy and UEFI mode??? [SOLVED]

I am a 'full-time' puppy linux user. ;p My job required me to switch pcs often, and as I do not like to use the default Windoze OS, I usually just plug in my puppy pendrive, and boot puppy, then start working. However, as my company start to 'modernise' the PCs, more and more UEFI PCs are replacing ...

Glad i found this post before i create a new one. I am able to reproduce (or bump into) the same issue/screen when tried to boot Fossapup64. I changed Fossapup64-9.5.iso to Fossapup64-9.5.img, then use EasyDD to write the .img to a 8gb usb pendrive with FAT32 partition. All this is done with my trus...

Pkg-cli, how to use the build command to compile package?

Just tried pkg-cli on frugal installed dpup stretch. So far everything went smooth. However, there is a build command under pkg-cli which i think will compile packages from source in an easy way.
Can anyone teach me how to use it to compile packages?

Re: Puppy is awesome but I needed a little user friendly version.

DD and puppy are not the same, but they hv many similarities. Many .sfs packages for puppies will work under DD too. You can always try to install DD and experiment. If the install broken, a reboot without save with make your puppy or DD 'fresh' again.

+1 on reinstall. Create 2 partition, eg sda1 and sda2. Install puppy to sda1. Choose to save on shutdown. Only choose to save when needed or important changes are made. Move and save your stuffs, downloads to sda2. This way, the savefile will be slim. And your puppy will always in "Fresh" ...

Re: Antivirus in BionicPup64 8.0?

For Clamav, you need to type in terminal "freshclam" during first run. (and dont forget to comment out the config file!) =D
If it need you to specify a user, just type "freshclam -u root" and clamav should starting to download the antivirus database.
