[SOLVED] Right Click Menu on Desktop Not Working on New PC Using Copied SaveFile

So, I got this Dell desktop with i3 4150 and upgrading to E3 1270 v3 (coming in two days). Stole it, I feel, for $15.00 on ebay. This is literally how I upgrade my systems. Instead of buying brand new, I wait for years then apply the "One man's trash is another man's treasure" principle. :lol ...

This thread made me try to boot Tahr6.0 NO PAE and PAE, just for giggles, on my desktop with bios set to UEFI and Grub2 and both booted with no problem

Did you mean you have a PC that you can set bios to either uefi or legacy? And you have it set on legacy and using grub4dos? Yes, that will work. Look at the chart on my first post on this ...

Re: 64 X-Tahr - My complete disaster

Steve91 - I think you can still run you favorite TahrPup. You just need to get GRUB2 installed. GRUB2 is the ONLY thing that will work with UEFI. Old grub, which TahrPup had, and UEFI is a NO BOOT. Even if you copy all the folders and files, it is still the old grub.

Here's my suggestion ...

Re: How to make WINE read from a USB device?

Thanks Jasper

I searched their forum and the first thing that came up is this   :
If the software needs to install a windows hardware driver, it won't work at all under wine. Wine doesn't support Windows hardware drivers, apart from HID devices (mainly gamepads).

So, I contacted ...

Re: How to make WINE read from a USB device?

Okay. Did more testing. With the usb key unplugged, there are 744 items under /dev folder. Everytime I plug it in, two files are added to it: hidraw0 and a folder /usb with hiddev0 in it. I tried creating symlinks to these two but it still will not detect the usb key. I think as far as linking wine ...

You can download the .deb driver files from here: https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc7440n_all

If what you have are also .deb files, I think you can double click or right click to install. I'd recommend getting the latest driver though
