Re: Cannot get save folder to load properly after rebooting

As far as I know, booting from the ISO will use the configuration file within the ISO file. The savefile you have can be used with a frugal install

Re: Agfa Snapscan e20 scanner fails to open in BionicPup

Finally able to give some time setting up my scanner and very happy to say, after sitting for so many years in the attic, my flatbed scanner still works. All I had to do was edit /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf and copy my backed up firmware to the folder specified below. Worked the first try. # Change to ...

Puppy Linux on Samsung S6 or Android - Is It Possible?

I was wondering about this so I started doing some searching and found UserLand. Was able to get Ubuntu/Debian working on my S6 but still very limited and need to play with it some more. But UserLand allows you to install Firefox, Gimp, Libreoffice and more so it made me curious if anybody knows if ...

Curious how you are going to solve this. I'm about to do a similar setup since I gave my brother printer/scanner to my daughter. I still use scanner from time to time and I need to look for my flatbed scanner. I have an old firmware file backed up and thinking about searching for a newer version ...

Re: sdb1 is read only--what did forget pls?

So how did you set it to mount at boot? Did you create a script and placed it in /root/startup? Do you have anything on /etc/fstab? I'm not familiar with F96CE. Haven't used it yet but you can start on those. I'm sure other people with more experience on F96_CE will share their expertise.

GTK +2 Theme Customization Only Affect Some Applications (Solved)

I'm trying to customize a theme, making fonts a little smaller, and I noticed the changes I made on " Chtheme GTK/Qt Theme Chooser " only affected some applications and not all. Geany and LibreOffice for example, the menu text size did not change at all. On Geany, if I go to EDIT>>PREFERENCE and ...

I'm was using efi grub2, so the stanza is a lot more complicated, at least the one frugalpup generates. I'll give another go eventually, probably not today though. Hmm :?: - A bit confused on what's the difference between grub and grub2 stanzas. I installed and currently using grub2 but my approach ...

I will release an updated version of TazPuppy once the upstream looks fine. I think I got it to load the kernel and then it would hang on the initrd, maybe something to ...

Am I just being too negative? I read reports that AI is heavily funded by the "defense" departments of nations at war, and utilized to analyze targets for bombing missions in Gaza. I suppose the "colleratal damage" can also be attributed to AI. Reports of AI saving lives in other domains? not so ...

By the way. I haven't answered your question. I setup my conky to tell what puppy I'm running but you can also run PupSysInfo and it will tell you what version of puppy you are running. Somewhere at the bottom of the screenshot, you'll see Operating System: Distro Name: BookwormPup64 10.0.7 (x86_64)

Excellent! So, we agree on that one. "It's up to us humans". And I think where we differ is who will be using it the most, bad or good? My gut feeling is the "bad ones". Am I just being too negative? Maybe. And I hope and pray I'm wrong.

I think it's more like 1. Scared 2. Welcoming And I'll admit. I fall under 1. I don't hate it or at least not yet. But if things I'm afraid of start happening because of AI, then yeah, a very good possibility I'll start hating it. Look at "X" (aka Twitter), it's a very toxic platform, for me at ...

I think we need more information. Right now, without enough information, the only thing I can think of is you are using a savefile. Not a folder. If my hunch is right you're using a savefile, default size of a savefile is, if I remember it correctly, only 512MB.
