"Off-topic" template (?)
Hi! Is there a way to show my own remarks/comments/replies and such, as "offtopic" (like a visual help to alert others such reading is not totally related to the main thread)? I'm not talking about a way to mess the forum, posting anything in anywhere, whatsoever. I mean a different way to...

@pierro78 It doesn't matter what you try with Vivaldi, you just cannot change the download location......it won't let you. At least, I've never been able to..! I've just tried Vivaldi 64bit (portable and .deb versions) and I found no problem changing the download location :o (Vivaldi 32bit dies in ...

Hi Majdanov ! And what about new users ? ...people yet to find the forum? Yet to try Puppy? ..people who weren't regular on the old forums? Hi steeve ! I've been using Ubuntu for years [..] Im more familiar with cli so I installed apt [...] Now is there issues to foresee if I start installing new packages with apt instead of PPM? Absolutely. In the worst scenario, you'll mess your system. In the best one, apt won't work :( For those who...

Re: freezing and crashes seem to be linked to update of Pale Moon
Hi mike! We'll have to try and find another lightweight 32-bit browser that actually works across the web [...] Good luck with that ;) Same problem I had when Opera 12.18 was discontinued. I've been searching for a solution for years and found none. Pale moon was the least worst evil. "And now ...

Re: Why does a terminal prompt hang until I exit the app it runs?
Sometimes you might run a command without the "&" and only realize after that fact that you don't need or want to wait for it to finish. No problem -- just open another terminal session and go on your merry way. You could also press Ctrl-z (to suspend the process and recover the promp...

Wiak said in other thread" If you want to use Master pdf editor (which is a good choice) you really need the older 4.6.1 version (not one of the newer releases, since many functions do not function in the newer free version) Yeap, I'd come to that same conclusion. Best version is 4.xx. Version...

Hi WoodLark ! Stretch hung at "loading kernel modules" and would never finish loading. Both Busters loaded fine, but mouse clicks inside of the setup application were ignored. Mouse clicks on the desktop did work (I was able to bring up the menu). Yep, not every puppy is meant to be run in...
