Not sure what you mean with 'between boots', it's supposed to be a portable application that doesn't rely on rebooting.

my error Fred,
@Gov, do other configuration changes to brave persist between browser exits and (re)launches?

I get the same result no matter how many times I have run the LAUNCH script. It is also the same result if Brave is running or not.
Just one of those 'quirks', I guess.

At first bootup, assumes hw clock is local time. Subsequent bootups, reads /etc/localtime symlink in the @qv folder and copies it, as well as what it points to, into the initrd. Why does anyone think we can only submit, only one specific Puppy version to DistrWatch. No reason 2, 3, 4, or more of the very good recent new versions could not be submitted. you would have to ask distrowatch about that. I was entertaining the idea that the distrowatch listing could point to a pa...

The community does not have a distro that is dedicated to your need. easyos and qv are developed by BarryK who is a member of the community. They allow the user to elect "lockdown" mode, purposely forbidding other partitions or drives from being mounted. https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewf...

That is basically how it was done recently, but none of the developers are keeping it going. The person(s) that produce the Puppy version really needs to be the one(s) to submit to DistroWatch. Why would you expect a puppy dev to keep a distrowatch poll going? Maybe more modest devs would like to h...
