Could I just use a folder for its install and share the same hard disk? What do I need to do in the boot menu? Thanks generally speaking of dualboots with windows, I prefer to use a dedicated disk for linux. that said, Alpine should be easy to work with if you want to put a frugal on the same disk....

I do not recognize the app from the screenshot) I suggest that you install a puppy/dog/easy or whatever to a folder in an ext3 or 4 partition and see if you can get your boot setup to recognize it as a choice at boot time...
