I'd like my panel and launchers to display on the external monitor rather than on the laptop screen. Please can you tell me how this can be done? I'm loving this OS as my daily driver but my eyes are old and the icons / text on my laptops small high resolution screen are hard to see.

Hallo BarryK !
Just found 1 problem relating to the kernel update via update icon.
The installed pci to usb-3.0 card will be identified as:
-PCI Devices-

If you look at /root/.zarfy/:0/outputs.conf there should be an entry like this f.e.

Yours might say: HDMI-..

Open a terminal and enter zarfy -l

Installing the Brave browser Flatpak will solve your problem.

Hi!

No problems to report while using my old Lenovo BIOS box from 2010.
I have used Kirkstone 5.8.4 easydd and a 32GB USB 3.0 stick for the image.

Side note: I do not use encryption for the stick only password for root/zeus.

All you need to do is to click on the zip-file name to download it to your system.
As you save to /mnt/sda5 you need to make sure that you do have proper rights to that drive.

I have tried to get my local printer to work via USB but it fails with no useful info at /var/log/cups/error_log.

So I tried BookwormPup64-10.0.7 and that works fine - same printer-driver-splix version.
But BookwormPup64 was more chattering at /var/log/cups/error_log while reporting ...

if you change the last line (10) of '/root/.packages/DISTRO_COMPAT_REPOS' and add '/dists/' 4 times in total so the line will look like this one:
REPOS_DISTRO_COMPAT="deb.devuan.org|http://deb.devuan.org/merged/dists/|Packages-devuan-${DISTRO_COMPAT_VERSION}-main deb.devuan.org ...

BarryK , I found something.
/root/.packages/DISTRO_COMPAT_REPOS
last line (10) is missing '/dists/' 4 times in total.
#DISTRO_BINARY_COMPAT=devuan DISTRO_COMPAT_VERSION=daedalus (bookworm)

I have just looked at /root/.packages after the repository update:

Packages-pet-noarch-official were updated correctly but ..pet-noarch.. downloaded an older version of it, hence the wrong date.

The package manager was empty no packages shown.

I've just realised why you get that. The deafult is the "contrib" repository, which has hardly anything in it. Click on the "main" repo radiobutton at top of PKGget window.

had a quick look how to fix your USB stick.

To take Buster off your system you have to delete some stuff. Go to:

/mnt/sda2/easyos/sfs/easyos/debian/buster and delete buster_2.6.2_amd64.sfs
/mnt/sda2/easyos/containers and delete the buster folder

and finally remove the buster ...

Updated to 6.3 on my 128 gb Samsung USB. I bought a lenovo 390 yoga thinkpad with windows 10. I installed easy Buster and Bookworm. Nothing i downloaded in them from repo worked and Alt F6 in both did not flip desktops. Had to restart through an app listing. Had to poweroff out of Bookworm. Not ...

you are right, root rights are needed to be able to plug in to the pulse socket.
