Re: EasyOS Scarthgap-series version 6.6

I upgraded to 6.6 using it now.

Took a while to download and install. Not sure why. Iblio seemed ultra slow.
The important thing for me was my PNY USB 3 multi card reader, (SD and Micro SD etc) worked.
- I upgraded to the latest Firefox
- The PrivacyBadger extention was still installed
- Changed ...

Linux and especially OS running as root are malware?

Starting on January 19, 2025 Facebook's internal policy makers decided that Linux is malware and labelled groups associated with Linux as being "cybersecurity threats". Any posts mentioning DistroWatch and multiple groups associated with Linux and Linux discussions have either been shut down or had ...

Re: Zarify settings not persisiting on reboot after saving session

Zarfy did not work for me (two monitors) LG and AOC (Zarfy did not even load)
Running latest EasyOS did not help.

After an hour of reading documentation and trying the suggestions in documentation etc
Gave up and booted from my default Debian which recognized and was easy to configure

booting from USB stick

Hi everyone, took me a couple of days to get into the forum (many thanks to moderator)

Using EasyOS 6.5.4.2 as my backup OS on two laptops and one desktop. One of the laptops had Manjaro
on it but is now booting into GRUB. Manjaro is too cutting edge for me. So Debian is my primary OS ...

Re: It's a small world.....

Lobster here,

Not posting from EasyOS but I have been installing it. First on a 4gb USB Key drive and this morning on a 8gb key drive. My Bionic Puppy was gradually deteriorating and I upgraded to what I hoped would be a home server but has ended up as a desktop running GNU-Debian long term ...
