Re: Mainline Puppy Linux Distros
i just couldn't resist putting in my 2 cents i think 32 bit will be around for (quite) a while 1. you can run 32 bit on 64 bit hardware 2. a lot of old games and apps need 32 bit 3. the key is the browser (and ram) (nothing much you can do when the ram needs are exceeded but) i would think that ther...

Re: Corepup - a minimalist modular system
hi greengeek corepup/tinycore does not default to root if you want to move things switch to root by sudo (command) or by opening a filemanager or terminal as root you may also have to sudo chmod 777 -R a lot of stuff so that it is found or usable corepup uses tcz which are the same as sfs files so e...

Re: VLC .pets- links
its also possible to symlink an uncompressed folder
into both puppy and tinycore with the cp -a command
this would make it easier to add and test missing dependencies
before you squashed it up
will look into that as well

hi moose on the loose
sounds interesting
the most important thing is that it works on your system
have you tried to put fredx portable firefox in it
that would be an up to date browser with no extra overhead
