Re: smokey01.com is closing "shortly"

It is my understanding - from Grant - that he won't be renewing the domain name when it expires.
The significant increase in cost of keeping the server is the reason he has decided to close. Quote: "They are proposing that I upgrade to another plan for 293% increase in price and only 10 GB of ...

Re: Microsoft confirms the death of Skype.....migrating users to Teams 'Free' version

Has anybody got Teams working on Puppy Linux?

I've tried both the web version (in Chromium) and the Snap Electron version (teams-for-linux) and both do not show any working audio devices..........

Thanks

Just an observation - if running LXDE instead of JWM, the ROX-filer rename window stays at the default width ......... I wonder why?
Switching to JWM, the rename window is the increased width.

Thanks for the link.

Both SeaLion and BrassMonkey seem to be cut-down derivatives of SeaMonkey.

Re: VoidPup32 and VoidPup64 Discussion

Given the rolling release, it would be helpful if the 'packages-void-current' file is made available as a separate download. This helps end-users with an older version update to the 'correct' available app version. Its not necessary to D/L the iso and burn/boot it to get this info. Right now... it ...

Does LxPupSc still require a 64bit CPU?

The LxPupSc32 iso does ship with a 64-bit kernel but that can be replaced with a 32-bit kernel - for example from S15Pup32.....

Re: DPupStretch (32 bit) PPM Update Failed (not fully-SOLVED)

@dancytron Try:

1. do not sfs-load the dpup-stretch-archive.sfs - just open it and copy the contents into /var/packages

2. line 307 of /usr/local/petget/0setup - case statement - remove |debian

With these 2 changes, i was able to update the ppm databases and successfully download and install.

NoblePup32 & BookwormPup32 do seem to have different mtp components.......

Noble has go-mtpfs

Bookworm has simple-mtpfs

I think mistfire is the mtp expert - perhaps they can help?

I suppose you could try installing:
