This was great upgrade. Downloaded the ISO file to the BOOTISOS folder on the SG2D USB stick and it booted fast. The changes that @gyrog has made kicked in on the pristine boot, where if found the /Sessions folder and offered an upgrade. I selected the "no" option allowing the proceed to desktop ...

New frugal install on internal ssd on laptop. Really nice. Everything looked at so far is working well. Thanks for the continued development of Puppy slacko. When Slackware 15.0 is out of beta, will this become the next mainline Puppy version? Like...will it be labeled "Slacko64 Puppy 10.5" in the near future or something? Thanks.

yes but the version num may be different. Also, 32 bit will be coming soon.

I voted 'No' but it isn't entirely true , depending on the definition of "use". Occasionally I boot it to test sharing with Puppy, since I maintain a couple of Samba apps for Slacko and Raspup (and available to other Pups). I don't actually "use" it for anything otherwise productive.

The process of a permanent fix and solution has begun. In several days all will be well.

Oh! Is Puppy getting vaccinated? (Pfizer I presume).

Pffft! Puppies get canine distemper virus, canine hepatitis and canine parvovirus vaccinations. Pfiizer or AstraZeneca haven't a clue!

Re: What's wrong with the Forum and Website?

I put in a redirect with my host instead of using a simple html redirect (which works for puppylinux.com) so hopefully in a few hours after DNS catches up the forum can be reached from forum.puppylinux.com.

A few of reasons the redirect may not work

  • my site is not https

  • DNS isn't updated yet

  • clear your browser cache
