Re: VoidPup32 and VoidPup64 Discussion

ally Thank you for archiving the files. When I followed the link I only found 2 of the 3 files listed in the archive. The 2 files present were candi-1.4.pet and scangearmp debian scanner package for the mg2500. The cnijfilter package for the 2500 is not there, although I did see the package for the...

Canon Pixma MG2500 Printer series.

The printer drivers for the Pixma MG2500 Printer series are now included with most linux distributions. In setting up VoidPup64 for my printer I observed that the driver for this printer is included in the drop down menu during the setup up process and the printer does install. However it fails to p...

Hi peebee, Thank you for the response. Installing the links browser from the package manager is easy enough. For some reason I have always compiled links for my own use. It is not at all necessary to do that anymore though. Just habit. I am more interested in learning why ./configure could not find ...

Re: How to install My Weather Indicator in Fossapup?-(solved)

rockedge Let me take a look at this. It might be the cairo module from python is playing a role. I think you are missing the python-gi-cairo dependency. Open the PPM update it and search for python-gi-cairo and install it. Please let me know if this fixes it. These were not installed. Odd, because ...

There are always those variables that seem to occur at random. I was taught early on that no two pieces of hardware are alike. Thank you for your input. Hopefully it is something simple.

mikewalsh Did you follow the pkg-cli instructions that Phil posted here? viewtopic.php?p=18994#p18994 Yes I did that. In 'Preferences', on the first tab, have you got the checkbox ticked for 'Show widget'? IIRC, it's not ticked by default, so unless you tick it yourself the widget WON'T show Yes I ...

I found that it works quite well from the taskbar. However it refuses to display the desktop widget. All I get is a transparent box.

Otherwise this is quite an app.

Re: Google-Chrome 'portable' 64-bit browser...

Thank you for your work on this. This is not working in Fossapup64. It complains that libffi.so.6 is not found. This is because libffi.so.7 is the version included in Fossapup. Creation of a symlink resolves that complaint. However it gives way to an issue with libpango. "chrome: symbol lookup ...

No, it's not down; you can't log in. It's read-only and the Truly Off-Topic section is not visible.
Actually, you can login and someone is still posting even though it is clearly stated on the index page not to login and not to make any new posts.
