Downloaded and manual frugal install of the Devuanpup XFCE version. It wouldn't boot on my Ryzen 7 laptop. The boot hangs at : 'Waiting for modules to load...' Other current debian based pups boot without issue on this laptop, so was surprised devuanpup won't boot. I attempted to add a possible fix ...

The user @Sofiya is correct but I want to emphasize this application, it can be a very good option (70kbs) for desktop environments like jwm, icewm, etc. that do not have a weather plugin like xfce does. conky does it, but it looks very decent in the systray Does not work with Tint2 panel, the icon ...

pacman with paman, it is a trial version. Upgrading corrupts the system. I have not yet looked at it thoroughly to solve the problem. Though I haven't tried your distro yet, I imagine the corruption you refer to if you install pacman and use it to upgrade will be systemd-related config scripts over ...

hi @mistfire .

I am trying to make it work in Archpup
but something must be wrong, add the repo.
I updated them and everything is fine but when it comes to install it doesn't find them.
Do you have any suggestions?.
I leave you the list of repo I use.

Re: nominations for puppy on distrowatch

in my opinion should be the distro developed by @dimkr vanilla dpup.
it brings innovation in every sense. never a puppy was at its height. ( xwayland, pulseaudio or pipewire, synaptic ).
Also it is in constant development, and brings 32 and 64 bits architecture.
vanilla dpup should be in distrowatch.
