Re: lock screen resolution fosserpup

Good morning! (at least for me) :D

@boof
I think the correct resolution is 2560x1440 (not 2540x1440)

Maybe this cause an error and skip to the next resolution

but without more specific info, this is only a speculation

check the post above... is very important!!

Cheers!! :thumbup2:

Woof woof! In puppy 3.01 I was used to extract many deb packages at once (tipically the deb packages downloaded from OpenOffice site to build then a sfs package) with a simple one liner using undeb for f in *.deb; do undeb $f; done But in xenialpup undeb is not included. looking for undeb in Ubuntu...

@PipzDex :- O-kay. After some detetctive work, my considered opinion is that you have there a "Prescott"-cored Pentium 4 551 @ 3.4 GHz. https://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium_4/Intel-Pentium%204%20551%203.4%20GHz%20-%20JM80547PG0961MM%20-%20HH80547PG0961MM%20(BX80547PG3400EK).html Some of...

Re: "Unable to boot please use a kernel appropriate for your i686 CPU"

@PipzDex :- Mm. O-kayyy..... At a guess - without having more info about it - what you have there is either a "Prescott" 551 Pentium 4 or a "Cedar Mill" 651 Pentium 4. Unlike the 32-bit-ONLY versions (usually on a FSB of 400 MHz, and utilising Socket 478), the two mentioned abov...

Hi @cobaka
Indeed, you have to save the file as .doc since it is the format recognized by that version of office .. The extension .docx was implemented in office 2017 onwards ..
