Re: Landing Page Design Ideas and Proposals
I see no need for a forum landing page.
All it is going to be is something I will have to wast time reading and click on to actually get to the real forum.
The recent changes to the forum layout was all the forum really needed.
I am looking to see the Puppy forum and do not need to first see a ...

This is a normal “Terms of Service Agreement” as it has to be signed in every forum and on many websites.
Only one difference: you cannot simply click a button WITHOUT actually having seen it (and possibly even having READ it) - as is often practiced.

Hi @peebee,
sorry for being late - health problems.
I still had problems with your voidpups regarding my ethernet connection (I had to add "ipv6.disable=1" to the kernel command line).
So I switched to your LxPupSc64 23.01 (kernel 6.6.17-lxpup64 (x86_64) which works flawlessly.

Re: Brave browser won't play Itvx
Hi @all
the issue is fixed in chromium version 123.0.6312.105, so builds of brave based on this will be ok now.
No need to disable hardware acceleration in settings anymore.

Do you use the latest v1.64.109 (Mar 20, 2024)?
This would be based on the updated chromium (from 122.0.6261.128 to 123.0.6312.58 ).
I experience the same issue with the latest chromium - white screen, but audio ok. I found no solution so I reverted to the functioning ...

Re: BookwormPup 10.0.6 and the loading of ucode.cpio at boot up
Hi @keniv,
you have to adjust the path in the statement:
Code: Select all
if [ -e /1006BookwormPup64/ucode.cpio ]; then
initrd /1006BookwormPup64/ucode.cpio /1006BookwormPup64/initrd.gz
else
initrd /1006BookwormPup64/initrd.gz
fi
in your /etc/grub.d/40_custom.

Hi @Clarity,
I assume the problem is in the initrd (major changes compared to rc6), nothing to do with SG2D.
Anyway - yes, I launched from SG2D menu.
Attached savespec, where 'Ventoy' is the label of the first partition (ext3).
