Hi,
So in the end, wrong assumptions (about the "event") led to heated answers and bad decisions.
That's sad ...

Hi @peebee,
sorry for being late - health problems.
I still had problems with your voidpups regarding my ethernet connection (I had to add "ipv6.disable=1" to the kernel command line).
So I switched to your LxPupSc64 23.01 (kernel 6.6.17-lxpup64 (x86_64) which works flawlessly.

Hi @all
the issue is fixed in chromium version 123.0.6312.105, so builds of brave based on this will be ok now.
No need to disable hardware acceleration in settings anymore.

Hi @keniv,
you have to adjust the path in the statement:
Code: Select all
if [ -e /1006BookwormPup64/ucode.cpio ]; then
initrd /1006BookwormPup64/ucode.cpio /1006BookwormPup64/initrd.gz
else
initrd /1006BookwormPup64/initrd.gz
fi
in your /etc/grub.d/40_custom.

Thanks for your reply @peebee,
last question first: yes - bookwormpup64 shows the same problem ...
I attached the terminal output for both (32+64), report-video for both and a screenshot of QuickSetup (showing modesetting driver being used with - I think - wrong resolution).

Hi @Clarity,
I assume the problem is in the initrd (major changes compared to rc6), nothing to do with SG2D.
Anyway - yes, I launched from SG2D menu.
Attached savespec, where 'Ventoy' is the label of the first partition (ext3).

Thanks @Clarity,
interesting, but confusing ...
Additional - the problem only occurs with savefolder, NOT when using a savefile!
