Re: Error Message

hi memo,

welcome to the forums!

that's probably caused by a .desktop file left over from running the rambox appimage.
Have a look in ...
/root/.config/autostart
/etc/xdg/autostart

and delete anything rambox related you find in there

Re: Drag and drop issues. Bad mouse?

@666philb Even when dragging and dropping or simply highlighting a group of local files to move them or copy them to another directory it acts the same way. It also (drops out) when highlighting text in most applications for copy and paste in a single window. Cropping images is getting unbearable. ...

hi @peppyy

it's usually sync issues if it's happening when dragging from a mounted camera/phone. mtp isn't the best and may work better if you let it settle for a bit

what does Fossapup do that Tahr doesn't? hi stevie pup , You can't remove browsers from the equation as so much is online nowadays and tahrpup will struggle running a modern browser. The mount command for access of remote smb resources have been tested and do work, though.

Re: Why does Fossapup show 200~300 MB of data uploads every day?

Yes Pkg-cli updates the local repos every time at system start. I think it does in Bionic64 as well. Easy enough to disable as described in the posts above. Another note, I have been running iftop that I installed and let run for a while on an idling Fossapup with nothing extra running, and for som...

Nope.

I didn't know pkg does that.

the script could do with being more sophisticated like waiting until you've connected and not running everytime you start x. :D
