CUPS was being blocked from installing my Epson WF2860 by the Bookworm Firewall being 'ON' by default from the get-go! :oops: Turning the green shield red and it's 'GO' for printing.

Having had separate Puppy frugal partitions in my old computers (e.g. one for 32-bitsers, the other for 64-bit Pups), I'm very happy to GParted some of the unallocated space of the Cube hard-drive for a small Puppies-only ...

First try - adding an edited 40_custom section into Mint's grub.cfg in nvme0n1p2:

Fossa files for the frugal-to-be are in directory '64fossa96CE' in / of partition nvme0n1p2 on the Cube's hard-drive

Running a life-threatened Acer-Aspire E1-531 via a 64GB USB drive with a Frugal Bookworm Pup. The Aspire's hard-drive may be dying (and/or the CPU?) as there is are frequent mini-freezes if the original hard-drive is used as the OS - Bookworm on USB is barely affected and runs very quickly ...

Terminal shows no sensors and sensors-detect in this Bookworm in a new old laptop (Acer Aspire E1-531).

Other Frugals on this laptop are fine with conky and sensors for the coretemp module showing CPU temperatures.

Thanks mikeslr for pointing me to where I could find out how to boot by default to one of my Puppies at the bottom of the grub list rather than Mint at the top of the grub list displayed on booting.

Just a pause to find how to become 'root' in Mint ('sudo su' then remember my password :? ) to update grub in Mint, after adding shinobar's Grub2config boot file details into the Mint /etc/grub 40-custom file.

I'm hoping to convert an Acer E-51 laptop with Windows10 to a triple booter. Keeping a reduced Windows10, trying Mint, and then a collection of 64-bit Puppies.

1. With the W10 drive wizard, I shrank Drive C from 900GB to 130GB and made 3 new ntfs partitions, for Mint, shared data and Puppies ...

Perhaps some examples of complete .desktops for different catagories? Ones for tricky situations that Puppians have encountered (and solved)?

And I've had many a whine about wine menus. So an example or two for common wine apps.
