In Fossapup ther is a script in /root/Startup named pm13trayicon, that is what puts the icon in the tray. The script runs pm13, which is contained in /usr/sbin. Other newer puppys use this method also.

The code in pm13trayicon is:

Tried to download just clicking link, download fails at about 35MB, also on 2 subsequent restarts. Switched to wget in terminal with -t=0 , connection lost at same point , so will have lots of restarts.

Edit: Download finished (13 tries), MD5 Checksum checked OK.

You can DEFINITELY burn a puppy iso to USB flash (iso9660) and and save changes to it. When I look at the drive in gparted it shows it as format iso9660. Just saw that a 20.06.4 update was available. Updated existing install to the latest version. Applied the icon theme papirus-lite as mentioned. All so far working well. Thanks.

Very nice! I've been using a version @step made for Fatdog mid last year. It still ran OK, but had been thinking for security it may be best to update to a current version. Problem solved. This portable version is excellent. Great job with the config file manipulation, it works a treat. Thank you.
