Re: BionicPup32-8.0 BionicBeaver Woof-CE build 24-Feb-2021

Just updated bionicpup32 with the +26 delta and manually updated my frugal install keeping existing save folder. After booting I ran a dmesg check and the terminal window's buffer was filled with the following line: aufs au_lkup_dentry:232:jwm[7185]: I/O Error, both of real entry and whiteout found,...

Re: How to install 2 Puppy versions in 2 folders?.

I have FossaPup-64 9.5 installed in a folder called "FossaPup" on my drive, single partition. To have both systems in own sub-folder each - in the same main folder ― can I boot into the USB-drive with BionicPup-64 8.0 - and: change the name of the folder "FossaPup" to "Pupp...

Re: ? Move josejp2424's Dpup-Buster to Mainline ?

Whilst I am a supporter of josejp2424 getting more recognition, I have several installs of his releases. I have a query of his releases being included in the Mainline section at present. My understanding was that section was for releases that have been declared final. Jose does great work and has a ...

Re: How to Display "Save Icon" on the System Taskbar

Copying the "pm13" file into /usr/sbin folder and copying the "pm13trayicon" file into /Startup manages to display the Save icon on the tray. However, clicking on the icon will not display the "Save RAM to pupsave NOW" button. So, it is not applicable in Bionicpup. I j...

Re: How to Display "Save Icon" on the System Taskbar

In Fossapup ther is a script in /root/Startup named pm13trayicon, that is what puts the icon in the tray. The script runs pm13, which is contained in /usr/sbin. Other newer puppys use this method also.

The code in pm13trayicon is:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/ash

exec pm13 trayicon "$@"

When I look at it after creating a savefile I can see the pupsave.2fs in there. Somehow puppy is able to create this mini filesystem inside the ...
