Brave browser

Post by FloraMae »

This post is to confirm that the Brave browser can be installed and used on Bookworm puppy using the install instructions on the Brave website for Debian.
https://brave.com/linux/

When launching though, you have to use the command option --no-sandbox
I've not tested it with the spot user.

Thanks, @FloraMae.

I used to update it manually (easily) by going directly to their github page:

1. Download the line that ends with "linux-amd64.zip"
2. Unzip it
3. Overwrite the old "brave-browser" folder (in i.e. /opt)

So, no need to add "--run-as-spot" in its .desktop file every time.
