Just resuming this old post to confirm this is an ongoing issue, the .pet application works just fine.
@dimkr perhaps could resolve this in the next build?

Hi,
just continuing playing with vanilla dpup.
BWpup64's deadbeef is version 1.9.6 whilst vanilla dpup's one is still 1.8.8 since a while.
Just curious, it is hold back for any reason in particular?

on the bottom left corner, where the mounted storage media icons are shown, they are too close to each other
How can we put bit more space among them?

IMO, without going into further details, Debian > ubuntu , especially for the Puppy linux world, for many reasons, most of which very well explained by @dimkr
