Got Steam up and running on 10.0.44, and I still come across the issue of Steam's icon not appearing in the Menu and needing to open it from terminal, and I get plenty of errors in the terminal in spite of which the app still opens. Well.. I did something a little dumb and locked myself out. For some reason the password I set (or what I think I set) doesn't seem work. Do I have to install it all again? I removed " -f" in /bin/autologin so it asks for root password on startup Edit: I figured out the issue after a reins...

Well... this is a new laptop, the one I had FossaPup on could not even open discord as it would crash.. so this is a different, completely empty drive, formatted into ext4 so should be for Linux afaik. version 10.0.40, not retro and not xwayland (which is also the iso I put on the USB stick)
an M.2 NVMe drive, freshly formatted with gparted into ext4, not currently used for anything
no bootloader afaik
