Re: 6.6.28 64bit LOW-LATENCY Kernel NON-USRMERGE Aufs/Overlayfs

@Tippe

To swap in the 6.6.28-lolat kernel into a KLV down load the 00modules-6.6.28-lolat.sfs and vmlinuz files and replace the ones in your KLV with these.

00modules-6.6.28-lolat.sfs

Re: Building 32-bit kernel for a new VM nameserver.

I have not compiled a 32 bit kernel in awhile, the last one being a full real time kernel 5.6.4-rt3 and a very successful full real time 4.19.82-rt30. These are a bit older and the 5.6.4-rt3 barely tested. Perhaps today while my dev machine isn't doing much I'll try a build of a series 6.x.x 32 bit ...

Re: Geany crashes when attempting to save file

This seems to be caused by incompatible GTK+-schema settings, and seems to always occur, if a program uses a GTK+-library which is newer then the currently active GTK+settings. This affects e.g.: Evince, Atril, Firefox, Chromium, LibreOffice, … (Gimp, Inkscape, Viewnior seem to be unaffected.) Try t...

@bigphil

can you try to start geany in a terminal? Perhaps the errors causing the crash can be identified in the output.
open a terminal and type geany, press enter

Re: Wine-GUI - Graphical user-interface on top of Wine

Installed Wine with OctoXBPS but the important wine-32bit package is not present. To fix this a repo URL has to be added to the XBPS configuration, so for Wine to work well in KLV-Airedale I added the Void Linux multilib repo to the system using xbps-install to install wine 32 bit support. xbps-inst...

Re: PeasyScale has disappeared from the right-click menu in Rox file manager

Is it correct that using ext4 in this case is arbitrary and it can also be ext3? Yes. Can I save my current configuration in fossapup64_9.5 and use it when I boot the USB? If you use Fossapup64 instead of KLV-Airedale in the steps above you can. KLV is different than Puppy Linux. Can't share save f...

Ok, but why discuss this Webmaster stuff. Looking to see how F96-CE as a search query in different countries performs. To get an idea what links to the forum and elsewhere are shown and indexed, and if the links are valid and go somewhere relevant to Puppy Linux. Getting ideas how important Distrow...

It's fixed now....was wondering why some things were wonky suddenly. Also fixed in the KLV-Airedale-sr13.iso package that is being tested and will be released soon.

Tried it and on itself it works ok on my Asus laptop, but there's problem with the firmware because in the firmware sfs there's "lib" as regular folder, conflicts with the rootfs that has lib as being a symlink. The 01firmware should load in /usr/lib/firmware which is a real directory in ...
