Re: Pale Moon 'portable' browsers - 32- & 64-bit

For those like myself that still use a 32 bit Puppy and 32 bit Palemoon, I have found that Steven Pusser has updated his MX Linux builds to the latest 33.3.1 SSE2 build! It is in GTK3 now, but so far I've had no problems on my old Acer Aspire One AOA150 with `1 gig RAM, running my custom Slackware ...

Re: Pale Moon 'portable' browsers - 32- & 64-bit

TBH, following the Pale Moon community discussion around this in late March/early April this year, I got the distinct impression that Moonchild and the dev team had already long since made their minds up that PM would be heading in this direction, regardless of what the community thought about it ...

A brief update on things: Per this announcement, the Palemoon browser, starting with version 33.3.0, will begin to require mandatory AVX instructions support from your system CPU. Palemoon mainline builds will no longer function with silicone lacking this instruction set. A PM user/contributor ...

Or, what I often do is to download the .deb from another OS first (that has network connection) , save it somewhere and then (without having network connection if I'm depending on wifi only) I'm able to install that firmware deb package on the build that is missing it. Which package has wi-fi firmware (the more the merrier)? I attempted to run this build script on a Thinkpad T420 running MX Linux 21.3, and the build process itself went smoothly. It came out with a functional enough system that booted to desktop. But there was no wi-fi firmware for these: [ 10 ...

Re: Trying to boot MS-DOS

Dual hard drive setup. MS-DOS gets a dedicated hard drive, and you install it there, where it can have its own boot loader and sector and file system, guaranteed to work. This becomes the master drive that boots 1st. Then you download Grub4Dos from where ever. Under pure, real mode DOS, while you're ...

I have put libwayland to the repo and rebuild the latest gtk3 with wayland support. To make it work, from gslapt: 1. Upgrade atk2 to 2.36.0 (the version installed in Fatdog is 2.28.1, this is too old) 3. Install libwayland (only libwayland is needed. "wayland-protocols" is not needed, that's a ...

"Atk-bridge" by itself gives me nothing. Could you please identify the exact packages that I need?
