I just wish we knew what we were updating to besides the perennial 'security update' and esoteric release notes.

Re: Brave Running Twice
Strange commiseration though surprised you wouldn't have solved it.
For me it's only Brave by .sfs.

Re: How can we make Ptheme work in every pup?
Again, JWMDesk isn't a help when the goal is automation.
I am not looking for all the sub utilities but the global theme changer.

Re: Puppy Event Manager doesn't automount drives
Similar hassles I think of it as a retrograde-advance. Even 32-land is not immune.
Auto-Pmount should at least be a setting.
Though, you seem advanced enough to handle some modest interactivity.
I like the term Creators' Perogative.

Re: Puppy Event Manager doesn't automount drives
It reads like you're writing about handler, the second selection under Desktop Icons/Icon Handler in Puppy Event Manager.
The other idea is to have it mount at boot, which requires having it inserted at boot. The setting is in pmount, but can also be manual if you prefer editing setting text.

Re: Do I need YASSM and samba?
If you're running frugally as most of us are, you can't delete apps without remastering Puppy.
You can simply hide them.

Re: SAMBA Steps for Cell-phone Users'
Playing SAMBA taught me one extra limit: XP Home cannot connect to SAMBA shares. According to a source it's Pro edition onwards. Thus far the basic technology works everywhere else I have tried (Windows / Linux / Android).

Re: Recognition point in time of G4D partition?
I would intuit the boot media limitation is itself limited to media available in BIOS.
In other words, any bootable media should be able to refer to recognized devices even if SD in this case is not a boot medium in BIOS.
Then if not the case the question is the basic reason why.

Re: SAMBA Steps for Cell-phone Users'
In the wash it's about the info, but in the attempt I used ifconfig
and ip addr show
. They're all providing feedback here in 32Xenial but not sure I had the same luck in every pup.
